Don't forget it's got 30% perlite in it!
I think this is easier than breaking down bricks of compressed coco coir. I think my plants appreciate the bit of perlite as it holds a bit more moisture than the coir would alone, which is good as I live in the desert. Solid product I have been using for years. For cacti 1 part cactus soil, 1 part coco coir and 2 parts pumice NOT more perlite. For Monstera and pothos and most "jungle" type plants I use equal parts cactus soil, pumice, COCO COIR and orchid bark. My Monstera is huge and the pothos grow like weeds in this mix.

watch out
i’ve bought 2 of these bags and the soil is crazy good but in my first bag i did happen to have a crazy looking spider inside of the bag and that was a little wild definitely didn’t expect that but no problems other than that

Cheap at twice the price!
When a local supplier stopped selling the potting mix I require, I tried this one and find it every bit as good, if not better. I do, sometimes, thin in about 30 percent with mushroom compost, but I live in a hot, dry region and need the moisture-retention that it provides, when many potting mixes, by the end of a hot, sunny day, are dried to near concrete-like texture!

Moldy
I bought a bag of coco coir perlite mix and within 2 weeks, the substrate formed mold inside my plastic drawer that I use to store substrate for quick access. It's so sad because I just repotting several new African violet cuttings and now I have to spray all of them with hydrogen peroxide because the mold formed on them too using this product. I also had to scoop out all the gross mold from the storage bin. At this point, I've already opened the bag so I have to debate if I'm going to keep spraying it with hydrogen peroxide or if I'll just toss the entire bag outside and buy a different brand. This is the first time I am trying out this product so I am very sad about this result.
