Wonderfully well written and packed with interesting botanical knowledge.One of the very best books that I have read for a long time.Recommend it to any enthusiastic Botanist or scientist.

We have seen all Attenborough animal documentaries over the past decades. It still amazes and bedazzles us, the viewer. Highly recommended series.

Great book, well written, packed full of information and a great accompaniment to the amazing TV series.Its not always easy to read non-fiction. I have enjoyed Simon Barnes's bad birdwatcher books and he has a very readable writing style. I have owned this book for six months and I have just completed reading it for the second time. I am slightly puzzled by people that purchase books for their appearance rather than the wealth of knowledge they contain.

The book is a good accompaniment to the tv series as it goes a bit deeper than the series . My only reservation is that the photos are not as clear as I had hoped ( the close up shots ) it is either due to the printing or the quality of the paper ? ( as on film they are stunning )
