Don't be mislead, this book is awesome
While the title can seem misleading, I'm really glad I didn't let it stop me from reading this book. The characters are likable and mostly realistic. I like the mantra, baking before boys, but I'm glad Penny didn't follow it completely, otherwise she could have missed out on her true love. I enjoyed the interactions between the characters and the adventures they experienced along the way. It's fun to see the interconnection between main characters and other books in the series, in the first book it's Penny's sister who goes on the adventure and falls in love. In this book it's Penny's turn and her love knows the guys who her sister and best friend are dating. There are some fun descriptions of the royal castle and the courtship with the prince. While I'm sure reality doesn't match, it was fun to read. I especially like that the story is clean, no swearing or sex. Kissing is the most you see in the book. A fun entertaining light read.

So sweet
Such a sweet fairytale story. The queen hasn’t seen her niece in many years and mistakes Penny for her niece Penelope. Penny is at the castle to accept an apprenticeship with the castle chef. Once Penny meets the prince, her heart pounding teenage crush on him returns. The prince must chose a bride by his 29th birthday or he cannot become King. He takes 4 different royal chosen women on dates and must chose one. From their first encounter, he’s always chosen Penny because she’s down to earth, beautiful and smart. What will happen when the prince finds out the girl he has chosen to be his queen, has lied to him? Surprise ending!!

A rewrite of Ever After, A Cinderella
Total lack of originality. It actually read like she took the scripts for the movie and changed a few names to “ protect the guilty” and hit print. Very repetitive. The only real question is when was she going to admit that she was lying. Weak characters - since when does a tough NYC single girl ‘swoon’ at the sight of a handsome man. Nonsense. And the prince wasn’t much better - allegedly one of the richest young men alive - single and with the world at his fingertips and all he longs for is to ‘get away from it all’ - his life of total luxury and NO responsibility. Not even close to believable.

Fun, Flirty, and Full of Modern Fantasy
This is a unique Cinderella retelling. It’s fun, flirty, and full of modern fantasy If you are looking for a story grounded in realism, Cinderella probably isn’t your story. If you are looking for a sweet royal escape with a modern twist, you have found the perfect book.

Good book
I loved the book right up to the last few pages and then I think the author didn't know how to end the book and so she rushed through it just to get it done. A few more pages would have given the same ending but a better feeling for the reader.
