High quality and good value for money - well built and works a treat

When I was a printer, we used these all the time, and for the price, I didn't read the description, because... inexpensive. Pleasantly surprised. I would have been okay with a plastic frame, but it's not. It's metal. Every bit as good as the ones I used to use that cost £12 each ten years ago. Perfect.

Quick Review: Positives: + Provides 10 magnification allowing you to see smaller details like scuffs to metals + Has rough measuring marks allowing you to make comparisons + Has a sturdy build Negatives: + Magnification is seemingly not modifiable. + Does not come with a light. This 10 loupe generally does the job, and a 10x magnification should be enough for most uses cases. For me, it is just about enough to see what is going on with my non-functional fountain pen nibs, but it does require me to look quite carefully, perhaps a slightly higher magnification would make things easier in this use case. If you are repairing jewellery, this should be good enough, as I can easily see scuffs and damage to metals in some detail with this loupe. The first issue I had with this loupe is that there is no built in light, this means I had to provide my own to be able to see things properly. The second issue is concerning the measuring mark. For jewellery that fits inside the gap inside the measuring tool, it is just fine. However for things like fountain pens, there is no real way to hold them under the lens properly other than manually. Overall, I feel this is a good product for the price, though maybe lacking in some features with a small design issue.

Great magnifier made of robust aluminium and actual glass ( not plastic!). Also fully foldable which is useful for storage. Ignore comments that it is not at proper focus. I speak as a Physics teacher - it's in perfect focus!! Got it to check contents of old 8 mm films prior to sending them off for digitalisation. Rested the film on the bottom section, held it up to light, perfect. Also used for reading the ridiculously small cooking instructions on ready meals!!! Great bit of kit ridiculously cheap- buy with confidence!!

Je suis vraiment content. J avais un peu peur de la qualité. Mais c est vraiment parfait. Plus grand que je ne le pensais, c est bien. Et lourd, du vrai métal, pas un truc cacaille.
