Fits very well but not high quality plastic

Make sure the slide you bought is the same size as in the box slides. I bought some ready made slide in amazon and it did not fit the slide inside. Should have check before buying it.

I can't really add much more than the title of this review. I spent 1/2 the morning transferring over slides from my collection from the 80's in to this box. It holds 100 slides securely and there is an index card that enables you to identify what the slide is of, to enable you to catalogue effectively. It clamps shut and you need to push on the catch to open. With slides in it the box doesn't deform. It's missing a way to identify on the outside what the contents are or even the date, but that is minor and easily solved with a sticky label. A good way to store microscope slides.

Very simple yet effective way of storing microscope slides. I have a small collection of slides that I wanted to store in a bigger box all together. They fit snugly, enough that they can slide out smoothly and won't shake about if the box is moved.They have an index list that is blank for you to fill out yourself, so you can properly categorize the contents. The box itself is made from plastic. The closing clip is strong and unlikely to come undone by mistake. The quality of the box does not feel like the strongest and I wouldn't trust putting too much weight on it, but if you plan to store your slides and put it away on a shelf, it's a good product.
