Just...wow
Synthetic Sable 8 round on left by Windsor & NewtonSeries 7 on right in 8 (featured product) by Windsor & NewtonBoth holding waterThe Sable is fatter than most 8s in other series by the same manufacturer and student series that you might find at chain stores like fine touch. If you're accustomed to that sizing maybe size down but the execution appears to be true overall for an 8. I love 8s and i love this brush (no regrets!) but I may one day splurge and also get a 7.This holds water like a CHAMP, I swear almost like an ink pen. Even on a completely dry page (9x12 Fabriano hot press ) I was able to make several passes without losing the integrity of the stroke. It blends divinely. It is a luxurious tool. I do notice it absorbs and holds even debris a bit more than synthetics and lower quality brushes so it benefits from a brushing. It also comes with a coating on it initially. I ended up using a beard brush and the debris/coating brushed right out no issues. It comes in a nice little case as displayed. I believe this is the real deal as I'm not sure how this level of quality could be faked. It's a lot of money and you know how us artists are (broke! Lol) but I foresee this lasing a long time. Merry Christmas to me! Haha

Loses its nice shape
I have paid a lot less for brushes that held their shape and kept their point better than these. Windsor Newton has the best paints, I expected more from their brushes.

Don't Buy! Stay Away, get a Da Vinci...
Garbage. I'm not sure how winsor and newton series 7 quality can differ so much. I bought a size 8 from Amazon. It splits with varying degrees of water in it. I have da vinci (series 10, 11, 35) and they are BY FAR SUPERIOR and most importantly CONSISTENT. I'm returning my series 7 for another series 11 da vinci. I've noticed my escoda reserva splits, but only with lower degrees of water in the brush. When saturated it's perfect, but as the water is removed it splits. But my series 7 split literally sopping with water. When it was damp it looked like Albert Einstein. See photos of brush with varying levels of water and splitting. With all this said, I do have a couple smaller series 7 brushes that are fine - 0, 1, 2, 4 and 1/4 flat. But once you go above a 4 it's over. The 8 I bought from Amazon and the 10 I bought from Jerry's were both garbage and returned.Do yourself a favor, get a da vinci. Their quality far exceeds series 7 but most importantly when you spend the money you will consistently get a great brush. Series 7 brushes of the modern era are just mass produced garbage, from a company resting on its laurels.

Exquisite brush
I received a genuine Winsor & Newton Series 7 in its beautiful box. An exquisite brush that lives up to its name and reputation. Maintains a flawless point and just a joy to paint with. Definitely worth the money.

The best tool
I got this as a retirement present. I still have the one I purchased in college though the tip wore off decades ago. The best tools make for your best work and this is one of those tools

BEST VALUE
WN series 7 brushes are the best brushes on the market. I am very pleased with the quality of this brush. What made this buy even better was the cost/value. A very reasonable price was asked..

Substandard product
The media could not be loaded. Useless waste of money. I paid well over $100.00 for this Windsor Newton Series 7 kolinsky sable round number 8 brush. I implore you to not buy it from this seller. You’ll be very disappointed and dissatisfied. Next time I decide to buy any Windsor Newton item I will buy directly from their site. Save yourself the headache of having to return it back to the seller. Obviously this was not made at Windsor Newton’s. Having read other reviews I see I’m not the only one to give it a bad rating which is why I fell the need to make others aware of how this product has turned out for me.

Excellent
This brush is excellent. I mean really good. It's bigger than my other brushes and I plan on making larger strokes with it. I mean really big. And that will be excellent.
