Set of 4 Metal Earth 3D Laser Cut Lockheed Martin Plane Models: F-35 Lightning - F-22 Raptor - RQ-170 Sentinel - SR-71 Blackbird

I have always enjoyed piecing things together and when I came across metal Earth I had to try them out. The pieces to each set are very delicate, I ended up breaking one of the pieces off because it can only be bent so far. Overall, I enjoyed the product and I purchased the Star Wars figures as well. If you're not very patient then you will have a hard time putting these together, which is why I ended up breaking off a piece of the first model. I recommend buying two of the cheapest models so you have one to practice with and get an understanding of how the delicate the figures can be.

As an military aviation enthusiast, this kit offered some of my favorite planes for assembly. These kits are the perfect mix of challenging and doable for a total novice like me; they definitely don't snap together in a couple minutes, but they do not require more then a few simple tools and a few moments of your time.The only negative is their size. They are a lot smaller than the Space Shuttle one I purchased in a store, but that only came with one.

Always looking for fun activities for my deployed Daughter to do in her down time. They have little space so small items easy to ship work best. These come in small flat envelopes which make them easy to ship either tucked in an envelope or small priority mail package. Need tools for best assembly. This set is priced great and is a perfect theme.

They were given as a gift for Christmas. The only complaint was how sharp the edges were on the metal. Otherwise, nice and enjoyable.

I knew when I bought it I wouldn't like the flat triangle looking plane. I was right because to build it was boring and to look at it was disappointing when comparing to the other planes.

While the idea is neat and the material quality seems great I had issues with my set. First I did not realize that these required assembly. I suppose this is my fault but all i read was that they were laser cut. Laser cut does not mean still in flat sheet form. the second issue I had was with fitment. the laser raster and cut quality are superb but i think that on a couple of the planes they could have made the bottom piece smaller. On one I had to totally remove the bottom only to try all over again because it sticks out beyond the top. The instructions are also marginal, but the 3d model at their website is indeed helpful as pointed out in the instructions, so no real complain there. So in the end they are neat and moderately true to the real planes, but the fact that they require assembly and a fair amount of tinkering to get them to look great is a real downfall.

GORGEOUS set!!! Great for beginners. You’d better make sure you have all the right tools prior though. Otherwise it would be near impossible. ESPECIALLY without a type of LED/magnifying glass. I totally bombed in the F-22. :-/

Awesome models but difficult to assemble. Recommend tweezers and perhaps a dab or two of super glue.
