The Chrysler Building: Creating a New York Icon, Day by Day

A wonderful book about one of the most beautiful buildings ever. I wish it contained some updated photos of the interior that were in color.

The story of finding the 8x10 negs is remarkable.Imagine finding the original, 8x10 negs, that Chrysler commissioned to document the building coming up out of the ground.! :-)

This book was informative and visually appealing. It would have been greatly enhanced by more illustrations of the finished structure and all of its art deco accents throughout the building.

A bunch of the pages had gotten damp and were stuck together, ruining the book.

Mostly pictures but what pictures. I love the look of this building. There is one picture that is worth the cost of the whole book. Would love to take it out and frame it. Picture is of the workmen sitting on the gargoyle.

This building is my favorite in all the world! To finally own a book featuring old pics of it as it was being built is great. Wish there were more interior pictures, but the ones that were included were special. Makes me wonder what those upper most floors were really like in the day.

Very good book that has fascinating photos and is good reading as well. If you love Chrysler as I do, you have to have this book and the video as well.
