Highly recommended! Easy to mount and configure!
I didn't want to deal with the hassle of drilling into the exterior doors at our new home and these were the perfect solution. They were very easy to mount and I did 3 doors in about 5 minutes, including joining them to my Smartthings Hub. Make sure you read the directions first and it's probably a good idea to pair them to the hub first - it will make it much easier to know if you've mounted them correctly. Before you peel off the adhesive, make sure it fits between the door and the frame otherwise you'll need to remove the sensor and move it. The adhesive is pretty strong so if you do need to move it, be gentle and take your time. The only downside I can see to these is that there doesn't appear to be a way to replace the battery but they say it will last a few years. Fingers crossed! These aren't cheap but they require far less setup and are non-destructive which justifies the extra $20/ea compared to the recessed sensors.UPDATE 9/8/2019: After close to 3 years, the strip that services one of the busiest doors in our house came up with a dead battery. The other 2 are still going strong but I suspect it's only a matter of time before their batteries die. One thing I noticed is that the strip went from 75% reported battery life to 1% and offline (dead). Would have been nice to have some advance warning so I could order a replacement strip.

Hard to fit on swinging doors
Update: It's been less than 1.5 yr since installing 3 and the batteries in 2 are almost dead and the third may have 1 yr or so left. Battery life definitely not going to be anywhere near 10 yr. If I had known this I'd have stuck with re-charging batteries as needed in my old sensors.I got these to replace my Aeotec recessed door sensor, mostly due to battery life (with new puppies the patio door only last 6 days-normally they lasted 3weeks-2mo) and reliability issues (mostly it would miss door closed but sometimes it also missed open, my guess is 25% failure rate-since used for controlling auto lock I had to look for something new). So far the reliability seems to be much better, maybe it was just the notification that failed but I've only missed 1 or 2 opens on one door but all closed notifications came through. It does seem to be a bit slower than the Aeotec's but I'm fine with that as longs as they're reliable and the battery last (I don't believe I'll get the 10yr as all of my battery powered devices are lucky to get 25% of what is estimated but at this price I hope it's at least closed to 50%).Installation was actually far more difficult even though it didn't really require tools(if you have the tools needed for the Aeotec or similar they quite easy to install) because they're too thick to fit in the desired locations between my doors and door jam (near the top or on the top- gap was big enough closer to door knob, so lets hope the adhesive holds up to bumps and rubs). On my front double doors it was impossible to sensor and magnet aligned properly due to a groove for the latches on the normally inactive door (gap too small on top of door) but it triggers the sensor fine. Sometime in the future I may shave the tops of the doors down to clear the sensor but probably won't unless I have an issue with them getting knocked off (if they weren't metal faced doors and I had touch paint I would have done that from the start and I was sure these work work well-looking good so far).Setup wish I'd say pairing is easier, at least if you get it on the first shot, but changing parameters a or repairing while not really being hard it's not as easy as hitting a button (you have to put a magnet over a spot 3 times within 10 sec but sometimes it doesn't give the LED so it often took 5 or more passes-I believe it failed if I was too quick to put the magnet back). For now with them just being installed I'd say they work pretty well and if the battery really does last any where near 10 yr they worth it the high price. I don't see the reliability changing so only time will tell how the battery holds up.

Battery life falls short
These are a great idea, easily hidden with no unsightly boxes. We had three installed on our basement windows. They worked well with my SmartThings system. We had one instance where within moments all three reported that the windows were open when really they weren’t. Since we were away when it happened we had the police come out and walk around the house. Still don’t know why it happened, but it ended up being a false alarm. After 3years and 10 months one reported a low battery and has died and the other two are reporting low batteries. Much shorter than the advertised “up to 10 years” Customer support basically blamed it on the controller requesting status too often. Not really cost effective with this short of a life span and the batteries not being replaceable

Sensative could have called this invisible sensor!
This is an amazing product. The sensor needs a 3 mm gap between the door and the wall to install. Pairing with Aeotec Z wave controller didn't go well for me. The first sensor in the 3 pack I bought didn't pair at after multiple tries. I reset my Z wave controller and started again with the second one and it worked immediately. The third one also went through only in 2nd try. The installation is little bit tricky and it is not like any plug and play device.Once installed, the product worked amazingly. It is there for a month, battery level didn't change. My friends ask me how the alarm is triggered without having a door sensor.(it is really invisible unless some one open the door and look for it all around the door). The product specification mentions it will not work with metal door. For this, all I did was placed a wooden sheet which is 2mm in width and it worked.

The Only Open/Close Sensor I'll Buy.
So, I've had mine for almost 2 years and all 5 strips still work, and they're still at 100% battery life. Plus, I've never had a drop out with this product and I can't say that for any of my other IOT stuff, even SmartThings, which is the IOT platform I use.The only annoyance, which is actually pretty minor, is you have to be careful as to where you place these bc if it's too close to something metal it will prevent the Sensor from working properly. Easily avoidable if you drag a magnet around the area your looking to install this.I rarely write reviews but this company does make a phenomenal product. It's a shame they've gotten such a bad review in here. At least that's been my experience on two separate purchases. Making a third now. Hope this helps!

Sensative strip works with Wink hub 2
I bought 3 sensative stips and connected it successfully to my wink hub 2. Please note the only issue I have is that after some time of inactivity several hours the sensative strip goes into sleep mode and registers as offline in wink but as soon as you open or close it will auto wake. This is a definite buy for home automation and I can confirm that it works with Wink hub 2.

Very nice idea but bad implementation
I've got 3 of them on doors and have had nothing but problems. Doors suddenly changing to open for no reason. Open and close the doors and problem resets. Tried various positions to no avail. Very nice idea but bad implementation. Would not recommend. Using with smartthings.

Poor battery life.
Battery on one strip only lasted for a year and a half. A second one lasted two and half years. They were advertised to work for 10 years. Not worth it.
