Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet

Great!!

My son loves these books. We wanted to get him the fourth book for Easter, since our local library didn't carry the fourth one, but I could fins a copy for less than $30, and this set was approx $50. The four book set comes with a case and was nicely shrink wrapped upon arrival. My wife and I, being big Muppet fans outselves, have really enjoyed reading these books with our son. We try (with varying success) to do all of the voices and the muppet characters speak just enough to make it fun, but not so much that an amateur impressionist parent isn't overwhelmed. I would recommend these book to any kid 2nd-6th grader who likes the Muppets or just kid who enjoys a hijinks filled story, kind of like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books.

We put this in my 8 year old son's Easter basket since we just finished watching the new Muppet Movie. Wasn't sure how he'd like it, but it turns out we made an excellent choice! He loved this book so much he carried it around the house and took it to school in his backpack so he could read it in any free time he had. He's always loved reading but we've never seen him so engaged in a book before. It was wonderful. I also had the opportunity to read it and give the book our highest praise.We are looking forward to book two and hope there will be many, many, many more in this series to come!

My son LOVES these books! He loves the crazy story line, and is even hoping he accidentally turns into a Muppet! It helps that you already understand the characters and their personality. It's set up similar to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid- with drawings and hand written notes in the margin. The books are long enough to take a few days but not too much that he loses interest quickly. He has read this one several times!

Fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid will enjoy this light, funny book from author Kirk Scroggs. I added it to my school library about two months ago and it hasn't stayed on the shelf! Students in 4-6 grades will enjoy this book, especially if they enjoy the Muppets, humorous reads, or Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Enjoyable!
