Good looking, well made budget knife
I am very satisfied with the knife. It seems of good quality considering the price point. Very sharp right out of the package. The sheath seems a bit too small for the knife. The point actually cut through the material. Using the packaging, I fabricated plastic inserts for the sheath to safely guide the knife. Before first inserting the knife, I suggest purchasers loosen the sheath by inserting some object that stretches the material. Other than the fit, it's a serviceable sheath. Overall, well worth the cost.

A great fixed blade for around $20
Lemme tell you what this is a 5 star knife for 20 bucks. Came sharp outta the box, and feels good in the hand. Thick steel and full tang should be very durable. I’ve chopped down a bunch of pepper trees, and chopped back a bunch of palm fronds with this knife no problem. It batons well too. I use it to baton hardwood for my bbq grill. Ive buggered the edge several times hitting it on concrete while doing this , and it touches up pretty easily. Sometimes I’ll walk my dog wearing this, because why not? Wouldn’t hesitate to take it camping, I already know from using it around my property that it would be an excellent camp knife. A good knife doesn’t need to be expensive, as evidenced here. Hasn’t shown any sign of rust, and overall just a great knife for the price. The only complaint I have is the upper leather keeper is kinda loose so I just leave it undone. No matter what knives you have, do yourself a favor and practice sharpening them

Excellent knife! Tough and Sharpens Well!
I gave these to two of my grandsons last Christmas. They loved them then and still use and show them off with pride. Can't beat this quality for the price!

Watch out Rambo!
Surprised, it's a nice knife, sharp! Handle is rather big for it but nice for the price! Solid and big!

Efficient and good quality blade
Nicely made Bowie with plenty of uses. The grip is a mixed topic in how nice it feels and such but for me, with large hands and thin width in my fingers it feels alright. The weight is alright at least in my case, it's got some weight that leans it towards the front where the 8.5 inch blade is. I will say, the grips material is a little bit concerning but, I am not an expert on customizing the grip on knives especially for wooden grips so, I'll leave that to a designated bladesmith/blacksmith who can fix that. If you want to do that. For the sharpness, I'd recommend getting a good sharpener or whetstone and using a quality and reliable leather strop for honing the edge and getting it razor sharp if you desire it that sharp. For me, I found myself amazed with the difference between out of the box sharpness and after personal sharpening. If you have a good strop then you will be able to get a really good sharp edge out of this blade. After the edge is sharpened and honed well....then the ease of using it will become very quick and easy. For the sheath I recommend an Ottoza sheath for the 8.5 inch blade. Preferably one with a strap that holds the knife in place. You don't want this heavy blade to fall out and cut yourself (I learned that lesson).

Great knife for under $20
Absolutely fantastic knife, especially considering it's under $20. The brass on the pommel and guard are a tiny bit scuffed, but I'd imagine that's simply from not using a high enough grit to make it shiny and smooth. Again, we're talking about a $16 knife here, so not every single thing is going to be absolutely flawless. But the handle is super comfortable and ergonomic, and has a different shape to it than most handles for a knife this big. The wood is thinner than in the grips of a lot of bigger knives, which sounds like it'd be a negative, but it actually makes the knife super comfortable to hold and use. It also comes razor sharp (passes the paper cutting test, the cardboard cutting test, and the hair cutting test with ease). I don't see any dings or imperfections in the steel, and its shape and blade geometry are as they should be for a standard Bowie knife. For $16, you may as well buy it. It's a great knife!
