Sturdy and re-useable
I use these for straining herbal remedies (decoctions in alcohol and oxymels in vinegar/honey). I washed them before use and removed any stray threads along the seams. The bags are sturdy and work well. For this use, they will become stained over time but this will not have an affect on their usability. I rinse them after each use and launder periodically. I like that the set includes multiple bags in different sizes. I always have one available to use!

Works well, but arrives with a strange odor
This works well to strain kombucha. When they first arrived, and before washing they had a strong chemical odor. It does wash out, but concerned what the origin of the smell is. After washing they are okay. Hopefully it is organic cotton, somewhat doubtful from whatever the odor is.

ideal solution for "milking nuts"
I find the bags easier to use when straining nut milk. Nothing spills out when you pour the "milk" in.

It's like cloth not netting.
It takes for along time to get the milk to go through the cloth.
