If you know nothing about Japan it's good
If you have absolutely no knowledge about Japanese history it can be a good start.But the style seems simple and kind of childish, it's not very well written.Also by the end, when talking about WW2, you can feel it's told by the occident and not by a Japanese point of view.But overall not so bad
