Delicious chicha morada!
We made Chicha morada with this and saved some corn seeds for planting purple corn in our gardens. The chicha morada was AMAZING!!! Guys, it's easy, and tasted so much like the chicha morada I drank a few weeks ago in Lima. As for value to money spent, this is the only option I could find for maiz morada, but it was worth it to me! We did try this alongside some drink packets of chicha morada (like cool-aid, and also bought on amazon). We liked them both, so if you're not too picky, I guess you could go that route, too.Chicha Morada:Boil maiz morada in 1 gallon plus 2 cups water at least 1 hour.Add and boil for another hour:Peel and core of 1 pineapple, minus green top.2 cinnamon sticks1 tablespoon whole clovesAfter the second hour, strain juice into a gallon jug or container and add:10 limes, juiced1 ½ cups brown sugarChill overnight. You MUST make this ahead of time. It will be ruined if you dilute it by trying to cool with ice. You want it slightly thick. Thick is the wrong word, but at least not thin.Others add diced fruit. I don't like it, but if you want, add some pineapple or granny smith apple.

The best for making chicha morada.
I have bought this product regularly over the course of five years to make chicha morada for my restaurants, and it has consistently delivered excellent quality. The flavor is authentic and vibrant, capturing the traditional taste that my customers love. The deep purple corn brings out a beautiful color and rich aroma every time, which makes it a perfect base for this classic Peruvian drink.I appreciate the consistency in freshness with each order, as this is essential for a restaurant setting where quality is everything. The corn itself is easy to work with, cooks evenly, and infuses the perfect level of sweetness and depth into the drink. The packaging is secure, ensuring the product arrives intact and ready to use.Overall, this has become a staple ingredient in my kitchen, and I can confidently say it’s the best option out there for anyone looking to make authentic chicha morada at home or in a restaurant. Highly recommended for its quality and reliability!

Great price and great for Chicha-morda
Have used this company several times for the purple corn and it is nicely preserved and packaged. After visiting Peru I was hook on the purple corn drink and the powders are just not great! So I make my own with this corn and it turns out fantastic!

Inca’s food Mai’s mirador.
The product is great, but the price went up over 25% and then went back to earlier price after I made my last purchase.

Used this to make Chicha Morada...
I'd never had Chicha Morada before but my friend from Argentina was talking about how his mom made it for his birthday and I desperately had to try it as soon as I read the recipe. Got this to make it and it is a hit. Both my roommate and I loved it to pieces. And it was honestly super interesting to see the purple corn up close. There's a chicha morada recipe on the back of this bag (I think it just says "Corn Drink") that I did not follow but it's very similar to the one I did follow which turned out very refreshing, so I recommend it!
