Moist, flavorful and GREAT for treats and training, even for puppies!
What can I say, my dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE, I usually buy at the big box store. Most of the Canine Carry Outs Varieties are VERY appealing to dogs, I've bought them all at some point, but the grilled chicken ones are very dry and the bacon ones are thin and dry. These-as long as you keep the zip top zipped are thick and moist, even when you get to the bottom of the bag-and these are BIG BAGS, or you could jar them. BUT if you forget to zip the lock, the one downside is that they do dry out fast.Let's face it, when you buy your dog something like those DRY milky bones, if they could speak they would call you a LOOOOSER and tell you to try to eat it as it takes TIME to have to crunch the darn thing up and then get a drink, most will just take them, set them on the floor and stare at you with a look that says, I WANT BETTER! Plus you can't quick feed a dry snack when training a dog. SIT...wait 5 min for them to lay on the floor, crunch it up and then SIT again? Who has that sort of time, not you and not your dog! Heck they can do that crunching thing with the kibble in their bowl.I HIGHLY recommend these for training, can easily break one into a couple of pieces or feed the whole thing. Good for any size dog, from toy (just break in half) to Large, though your great dane or irish wolfhound might want two! My dogs get them each time they go potty outside, even the elderly one, and for my younger dog they are a huge tool in training him tricks. For my elderly dog, they are easy to chew on his bad teeth. I've been feeding these for YEARS to all the dogs I've owned. And if they smell good to me, I am sure they are quite tasty to the doggies. I am NOT one to stare at ingredients on dog treats, so I couldn't tell you if they are grain with flour, or real meat, all I know is every single dog I own and have owned goes stupid happy for these and they have never ever causes any sort of digestive upsets nor obesity (even in less than active dogs)! The ONLY dog I could not feed these to was a rescue dog I had with a liver shunt problem. If you are picky about dog breath, these will give your dog a breath that smells something like bacon bits, not quite, but close. Recommend!I also have to add, that these are good for hiding pills in. Now some of my dogs were wise to my ways, but most were not if on medication and they are easy to push a pill into. I also have one dog that HATES heartguard, but I can fake him out with one these, then the heart guard, then one of these. LOL Ok so he knows SOMETHING is not right, but he's too focused on the NEXT treat to think to spit out the heartguard. LOL

Apparently They Are Amazing
I haven't personally tasted these, but my dog has. He won't eat treats he doesn't like. I've wasted money on expensive treats in the past, and he left them alone if he didn't like them. He loves the Canine Carry Outs Dog treats. He gets them tossed at him a few times a day, and jumps mid air to get them. These are great training treats for large dogs. They are too big for training small dogs. We have a pyrenees so he's a big boy, and these are better sized for him than the smaller ones. This bag is a good size, and lasts us a few weeks. 2 last us a month. They look good, and our dog loves them. We like the price.

OK in small amounts.
The treat looks fabulous, but I became somewhat less enthusiastic upon reading the list of ingredients. But my dogs love it, so rather than serve the pieces in their original size, I cut each one into smaller slices and use them as rewards for an ad hoc small job well done, i.e., intended to reinforce the praise in the hope that the dogs will register their rewarded effort as something worth repeating.Despite the above, I expect I will keep buying these until I find a treat as malleable as this one: well-liked by pooches and so easy to cut into 2-3 smaller pieces without the inevitable mess that a crumbly biscuit will make but not big enough to miss them when the treat, eventually, will fall off the list.,

I do like these treats..but not nearly as much as my old dogs
I was so disappointed when Costco stopped carrying my dogs favorite treats. That forced me to try to find something else I could afford. I tried these and the dogs love them. I have four dogs. At night they forcefully remind me they haven't had their bedtime treat. It's a treat for me every night too. I can't help but have a laugh and lighten any "moods" when it's treat time. I have one dog..old and grey too. I give each dog four pieces. But divided up to make them last a long time. I like to think they are fooled into thinking they are getting a LOT if it's spaced out. One old dog makes this funny sound...like his mouth is quivering and chattering. He is old and grey, never has been much of a "talker" in fact the only time I have ever heard him even bark is when he's outside. He gets so excited I have learned not to offer a piece in my fingers. He is very good catching the pieces in mid air. The others all have their own quirks and stories but Alex is really the funniest one. He REALLY appreciates these treats and its not because he's hungry. They have their food in a big "eat when you want" bin. I am old myself so have everything arranged for our convenience.

Called the company about the ingredients
It seems there's garlic in the treat. Garlic is harmful to dogs! Company read me party line..."that FDA says amount they use is safe. BUT- when I pressed them o weight to treat ratio, they never bugged! I have a 3 pound puppy who had been training and eating 3 of them for weeks before i'd noticed the label and the garlic thing!SURELY there has to be a limit, but nothing is stated on the packaging...In trying to get this across to them to avoid possible litigation going forward- it was like talking to the wall!!!

Good treats.
My 4 dogs love these even after 5+ years. They've never had any issues with these treats and they're affordable and made in USA.

Reasonably priced dog treat if you buy the 50 oz bag
All our dogs have loved these, even the picky ones. They're a fairly soft slightly chewy snack that any dog unless super tiny can handle just the way they come out of the bag. What I also like is that they are easy to break into several pieces so the snack size can be made smaller to save on calories - the dog is just as happy with a half-size treat as with a whole one and as far as he's concerned he gets more treats that way. . Also the bag states that they are made in the U.S. which I think is important for canine food safety. Much much cheaper per unit if you buy the big bag. They seem to store well if you keep the bag closed or put them in a sealable container once the bag is opened. They do dry out a little with prolonged storage if not sealed up but the dog doesn't seem to care.
