Purchased this product in June 2020 with great enthusiasm to do my own "vermicompost". 1. The star of this product is the quality of the bucket provided which almost 3 years down is still not broken or faded. It is exactly the same which is simply amazing.... 2. The seller provides you with the necessary items to kick-start your vermicompost journey and then after you can buy from them or directly from the Amazon site. 3. One bucket is unfortunately not sufficient for a family of 2-4 people as the compost takes time to get ready and it fills up pretty quickly if you are having 3 meals a day at home. The seller did warn me about this My journey of vermicompost was short-lived, primarily coz of a lack of patience, knowledge, and effort. The product is otherwise great. I have seen my friends using it with superb results. I wasn't so lucky. It was sold and fulfilled by Global Solutions. They packed it very nicely in a carton and also answered my queries when I contacted them about the product.

I have used it for my home garbage. After filling up from a month vegetables and fruit waste and avoiding all cooked food, I have pressed it for amonth and tacken out stinking liquid waste from the bottom tap. I have add water and pour in plant pots. Not much of the improvement but yes the whole area become stinking. After waiting for another month I have taken out half of the quantity out of the bucket, which is still not composted. It is very stinking substance. I have placed this in a big pot after placing two layer of thick brown paper packets, then added some powdered coco pit above this substance, then cover it with another four layers of brown paper bags. Now I am waiting it to get dry. Basically it is shear waste of money to purchase any of such composters They all are bluffs If you have garden then make a pit and dump all waste, even bothering to segregate or mixing any additives After filling forget for two months then again use it. So...

Ive been looking at reusing/recycling the kitchen wastes, to make manure for my plants . Also to contribute towards eco-friendly household. This is my first try at it. Hope it goes well! Pros: 1. The bucket is big enough to hold two weeks ( 4 member family) to one month ( Bachelors) wastes 2. The compost maker comes in a bottle, easy to store 3. Looks neat, you dont have to hide it for its looks 4. Easy to install/use Cons: 1. Handle is thin, dont use it when the bucket is full.

The bucket itself is the star of the show and is as described. The logo treatment was a sticker in my case rather than printed on the bucket itself but I do not care about these sort of aesthetics. Also instead of a poly bag of the compost maker, I received a plastic container of it. Again, doesn't make much difference to me if the end result is the same but I think it is worth mentioning. Everything else looks to be fine. The problem was that the jaggery pouch was not properly secured inside the bucket during transport and got torn and spread over all the other components and the inside of the bucket. Its a simple fix to secure it better and would prevent such messes especially if transported over far distances. Will update with more if I encounter anything else of note with actual use.
