Ideal to keep in the car in case you need to nip in a shop & you’ve got the dog in a crate in the boot. Allows air flow without the dog escaping. Originally ordered a 9 inch but left too large a gap, reordered a 4 inch & that’s perfect. Only 4 stars as I had to pay to send the first one back

Provide air in car whilst out

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on my Landrover Freelander 2. Car doesn't register that boot is shut and won't lock. Does anyone know any tricks? Still a quality little gadget.

Use the 6ins boot lock whilst car parked at dog training to secure car boot whilst still allowing ventilation for my dogs as I train them individually. Just the product I was looking for.

Great item does what it says. I felt the the main shaft should be a little wider to prevent the hook from being undone from the car. I have added a washer to the hook to make it impossible to be unhooked, adding a little security.

Well made, perfect for leaving the dog in the car with the boot open for ventilation but not enough space she can escape!Also gives me peace of mind knowing the boot can't be opened if I'm out of sight of the car.I got the smallest size which is slightly more fiddly to fit than bigger sizes but that's the nature of only wanting a small gap.

The lock is a good solid piece of equipment that works well to secure the back of the car whilst allowing an air ventilation gap for the dog. It allows the full locking/security system to work. Simple to fit and has a good depth of hook through the boot loop.
