I bought these specifically to use for my sourdough, and they’ve been fantastic. Recommended by another sourdough maker. The scoop end is perfect for mixing and feeding my starter without making a mess, and it reaches into jars really well. The spreader side does an excellent job scraping the sides clean so nothing goes to waste. The silicone is flexible yet sturdy, and it doesn’t absorb odors or stains. The nylon handle feels solid and comfortable to hold, and everything cleans up easily by hand or in the dishwasher. These have quickly become one of my favorite tools for sourdough baking, and I use them all the time. I highly recommend these and plan to buy another one.

I love these for the butter bowl/container, got tired of finding a full length metal dinner knife stuck in the butter and did'nt want dinky butter spreader knives like what you would see at a party, and decided to order these. They are awesome, lighter in weight than a metal utensil, one end is a flexible spoonlike spreader kinda thing, and the other end stays clean! I love these and off into the dishwasher they go, no problem. They are also handy for frosting cupcakes, and spreading cream cheeses on a bagel, you get the message. And the colors are attractive too!

This is a great tool for managing my sourdough starter. The scoop end is perfect for removing starter and measuring on my scale. The other end is great for scraping sourdough starter off the edges of my jar. I haven't used it for other things, as I bought it primarily for my sourdough baking. It's sturdy and really handy.

I ordered the "mini" one by accident. It's about 8" long, but a little shorter and thinner than the regular size--10-11" long which I prefer. That little bit of extra length and width helps to scoop out things better. Like for instance when using it to scoop out the bottom of jars like peanut butter. The shorter one has a picture on it to butter like a bagel but honestly I can just use a knife for that; whereas what I think this is type of tool is good for is when you're baking you can scoop out ingredients like butter, cream cheese, sour cream...that you put in prep/measuring bowls. Because of that, I Like The Wider one and it's not that much wider but that little bit helps. It is a wonderful tool though! It's become one of my favorites in the kitchen.

Hands-down, this is the best tool for scraping cleaning scooping & mixing. I use it for maintaining bread starters, & all batter recipes. The larger size replaces my favorite spatula. The large size fits into Weck jars of all sizes to mix and cleanly scoop. It is a breeze to clean very versatile. Highly recommended.. It is well made & I expect it will last years.

I love this scoop, I have several. I use it at home for the big peanut butter jars both scooping and spreading peanut butter and mayonaide other things of similar viscosity. I also use them at work for scooping massage cream from the gallon jugs Into individual pumping jars. They work well and are easy to clean and use I them nearly everyday. Definitely useful tool- and not a “unitasker.”
