I bought the Kaito kinetic remote and plug, and I broke the switch within a year. This thing, while less attractive, has survived fall after fall. The Kaito remote would sometimes fail to send the signal from the remote to the plug. This one has never once failed to send the signal. Finally, whereas the Kaito plug emits a small blue light when "off," this plug only emits a small light (white) when "on," which I much prefer.

one of the best purchases of my life, works flawlessly, use the outlet in so many innovative ways around the house all year. press! have three so far.

It was a good buy

I couldn't get it to work. Took it to a friend who didn't get it to work either. It worked only once for my grandson when he was right on top of it.
