I always find the reviews of dog products difficult to interpret. There is sooo much variation between different dogs that a product easily destroyed by someone's pit bull might last for years with the same owner's toy poodle. So, despite the numerous reviews that these balls are junk, I thought they might work pretty well for our small breed puppy. Unfortunately, I should have listened to the other reviewers. The material that these balls are made from is sort of hard and just doesn't stand up to any sort of chewing. As a gauge, our puppy is not able to chew through tennis balls at all, but he does eventually chew through most doggie toy balls. The key here is "eventually". A doggie toy ball will last our little guy for several weeks before we notice he has managed to exploit a weak spot in the plastic and chew off little pieces of the ball. With these Savena Squeaky Dog Balls, he is able to create his first hole within a matter of minutes. DO NOT BUY THESE BALLS!!!UPDATE: The seller contacted us and offered a refund to change or remove the review. This undermines the whole review process, and we refuse to comply.

***Updated**** although I appreciate the offer of a refund should I change my review to a more positive one, however, these can cause a very serious internal blockage. They are not safe for chewers. I would rather others know the truth than receive a refund. I wouldn't call these "bite resistant". It took our under 20lb Boston Terrier about 5 minutes to chew holes in all 4 balls. Pretty disappointing.

Had high hopes for these, they seemed really strong when I took them out and squeezed them, one of my dachschund had the "tennis ball" for maybe 5 minutes and put a hole right through it. If you have a dog that will maybe squeak these a few times then give it back to you to throw then these may fair better for you.

My mini poodle LOVES these. These I learned to use for outdoor use only. Inside fetch, Tristan won't bother to let me know he needs to go potty, he'll just put out the fire where we're playing. Yes, he's that nuts for them. Outside, I hit them with a tennis racket, they stand up to that pretty well, sometimes the squeaker will get knocked in if hit in the right spot. Not the manufacturers fault, I'm sure they didn't engineer for a swat from tennis racket. I just buy the replacements, Amazon, 29mm, 50 pcs, price is right, I buy them a smidge bigger to pull out for draining doggie pool water. I keep them from him for the most part, like other reviews, he'll destroy them starting with the squeakers. When we play fetch I use two balls, the second is to get him to give up the first. He loves the sound, he likes to squeak it all the way back to me. The yellow and orange are easy to see in the grass. The football I wish could be replaced with another hi-viz round ball. It's a bit thicker than the others and doesn't go as far. I give him those to chew on. All float, but squeaker new/replacement won't work if water logged. I rolled with the flow and learned how to give these an extended life. We're on the third set. I'll buy more in the future. Overall rating, 4 stars. Chew proof, one star. Durability, 5 stars, I knock them around with a tennis racket. Value for the money, 5 stars, but had to learn how to preserve them otherwise left alone with Tristan they have a 15 minute life.

I had bought this for my one dog which is a Terrier mix under 20 lbs and she had chewed holes in the ends of the football and some how always was able to "deflate" the soccer, basketball and the baseball just by her carrying them in her mouth. The balls would always come back into shape but I didn't realize they would do this and I don't think I would've bought them if I had known they would've done this. My dog still enjoyed them, if it is a ball that she can fit in her mouth and it squeaks then she is a happy little dog. My worry after a while was her getting it stuck in her mouth which she has never done. I just would recommend that if you purchase for your small dog, make sure you watch your dog with the toys and get rid of any of them if your dog chews a hole in any of them. I wish the material was a bit stronger but if you have a dog who is older and doesn't really chew too, this may be perfect for them.

One of the squeakers in the balls didn't work the others my dog ripped to shreds in 3 bites. Not a great toy.UPDATE####I contacted the seller and they sent me an new set at no charge. The new set was much better quality. All the squeakers work and my dog did enjoy them an still is. Great product for the price A++ Thank You

These toys are junk! Every one of the squeakers except the football has come out. All within the first few days of my Bassett Hound mix puppy playing with them. She wasn't chewing on them either, just squeaking them in her mouth.
