SureFit Furniture Friend Loveseat Pet Throw/Slipcover, Warm Chocolate

I recently purchased a sofa and living room chair and have a hairy beastly cat that sheds like no other. I wanted some sort of coverage/protection for both and was looking at the Sure Fit as it was highly recommended but couldn't decided between the Suede model or the Cotton Slipcovers.Because, the Slipcover was mainly going to be used for when I was away from home, I decided on this Cotton Claret version as it would blend better with the color pallet in my living room.My couch is about 89" long and the sides sort of "wing out", and I was kind of nervous that it would be to short. But when I received it I was pleasantly surprised that it fit my sofa just right! It was not to short, nor to long! It had the coverage on my sofa that I just needed to have. And, the color in the "claret" is really pretty. To me, it's like a ruby red. If you have earthtones colors, neutrals, even navytones, this color will work well! My couch is more of a Taupish in color so the Claret on it really makes it look nice.To remove any cat hair from the slipcover a lint roller works just fine, or using your vacuum brush on "low" is a quick and easy fix. **I haven't washed it yet - When I do in about a week I will adjust my review then if needed.Now, this slipcover to me is not comfortable to sit on - it's kinda "itchy" but my purpose was for cat coverage only when I'm away from home. When, I am home I simply pull back / or remove the the slipcover so that we "humans" can enjoy the sofa for what it's meant for...lounging aka. relaxation! When, we leave the house the slipcover is very simple to place back on over the couch for the cat hair deterrent.I'm giving this 5 stars because so far it's worked well for me. It's done the purpose of what's needed as a pet hair deterrent, it's held up on the cushions on the sofa and hasn't fallen down, the cat hair has been easy to remove, set up is very easy. Now, when I do place in the washer/dryer for the first time if the results are not positive I will edit my review accordingly.

I bought one to try and was pretty skeptical that it would actually work. We live in a *very* wet climate and the cats are continually coming in wet and often muddy. Since they believe the leather furniture suits their stature in life as ascended beings, I decided that the leather needed protecting and was getting tired of replacing towels that got soaked through.The cover is reminiscent of the furniture wraps used by moving companies: sturdy quilt with a reinforced hem but much lighter weight. It has a white, tyvek-like backing which is likely where the waterproofing comes from (and it is). The cats have decided that the new "blankie" is a great homage to their superiority and now fight over it. I wanted something that could be easily removed and trap the debris they leave behind. This also was a success, just fold in the arms and then the back and front and give it a shake outside.It does slip, especially on the smooth leather, but we think we have solved the problem. We only need the back to be "cat high" so since we have a separate footstool, we put it on upside down with the longer "back" on the seat/footstool area. It drapes over the footstool without touching the floor. Using the "seat" for the back allows us to fold it in on itself so that it only goes up the back of the chair about 8" or so. This forms a cat-sized pocket on the seat that stays in place pretty well as long as the "arms" are tucked in to stay in place. We are considering a cardboard insert for the folded back held in place with snaps so that it won't sag.All in all, not a bad purchase. The overall size is a bit larger than we needed, but one size fits all... The stitching had one or two loose ends that we trimmed. Time will tell with overall quality/durability but for the price that is a minor detail. We bought three more, for the other chair and laundry day.The price was now under $20 each, what's not to like?

I do not give bad reviews of products lightly but there is not that much I can say about this couch cover that is good.Save your money and buy a couch cover that will cover the whole couch and slip right over the couch for full protection. You will be glad you did.If you are like me and on a budget trying to condense expenses and buy something that will work and still be affordable, guess what this is not the answer... You will be sorry you did buy this..First off I bought a brand new couch, and with a large dog and three kids I wanted something to cover my couch to keep it nice.. I thought by the pictures of this and the mixed reviews it might be okay, UH No! it really is not.. This was a huge disappointment.. Not only does it not fit my couch like the picture shows, but it does not stay in place EVER.Problem number one. One arm of the cover will cover the couch but the other is to short to fully cover the other arm..Problem number two: The dang on thing will not stay in place EVER!.. I constantly have to keep fixing it and pulling it up over the top of the couch, all it takes it a small dog, child, or dog to go sit on it, and yes it crinkles up and falls off, so you have to fix it again.Problem number three if something does spill on it, good luck with that because it will shrink if it is washed, (Yes I used cold water) and that makes it evenshorter.The only reason I did give it two stars and not one is because falling down or not, it does catch dog hair really wellI would not recommend this to anyone, because for $20-$30 more you can buy a good one..
