Great Pix; Good Stories.
I enjoyed reading about some of the pieces sold at auctioned over the years through Christie's. Some of the stories are really fun, others historically fascinating, and some, to be honest, a little dry. The inserts throughout the book that that explain in detail what makes certain gems or pieces more valuable was particularly informative (the couple of pages on pearls was especially good/educational - I never knew!).This is a coffee table book that you can pick up and read or just look at the amazing photos.

A really good read not just for jewellery fanatics but for everyone.
The author lets us into the behind-the-scenes of the auction room, which she knows well. This book is one you can pick up and put down at any time and read something about jewels and jewellery - and people - which is fascinating. I am so glad I bought it.

This book will make you fall in love with jewellery that much more!
Wow, the stories and photographs in this book are outstanding! Just when I thought I already was in love with jewellery, discovering these stories just made me fall that much more in love. This book, along with "Christie's Guidel to Jewellery" (also by Sarah Hue-Williams) now hold the prime position on my lounge table...not because I want everyone to see them, but because I enjoy looking through them that much.
