WYZESolar Panel - Compatible with Wyze Cam Outdoor v1/v2 and Battery Cam Pro, Continuous Power with 2.5W 5V Charging

Makes the Wyze rechargeable outdoor cam set it and forget it. I put some of these cams outside my sister's house. The one I installed at her main door gets a lot of traffic so it was discharging quickly. Needing a ladder to access it to get it down to charge it was going to be my task. I bought this solar panel and installed it and now the the camera stays fully charged. Panel is made well, easy to install and came with an adapter cable to connect to the camera. At about $30 a bargain too.

I started to give this a bad review but decided to go back over my installation again. I already had the camera and just added the panel. What I found is that there are two points of possible failure. The first is at the adapter. You have to make sure that the connection inside the rubber sleeve is all the way down. And unfortunately you will have to completely remove the rubber tab from the power port on the back of the camera or it won’t stay charging. I didn’t like doing that, but it was the only way to get a secure connection. When I corrected both of these issues, with the panel in full sun it charged from 40% to 83% in one day. The panel is also of a size that is appropriate. The pedestal is also very good and makes adjustments easy.

These solar panels are incredibly easy to set up, and work great. Very much needed for the battery pro cameras if you set them up outdoors.I find that in conditions of 30 degrees F and warmer, they tend to charge the battery more than it's usage on conservative recording settings. During warmer conditions, you can have more data-heavy recording settings and still have it fully charged during the sunlit hours.If WYZE offered a larger solar panel, or you could hook multiple up to one camera, then perhaps the battery cameras would be more feasible to use during the winter.

Really effective in charging the Wyze camera.

If you want to waste four months, constantly on the phone and chatting with Customer Support, only to find that your camera does not record when it’s supposed to record, the battery does not charge, the solar panel is an absolute joke of a sham – and in investing all that time you will lose your ability to return this lemon of a product – if all of this sounds like fun, please go ahead and throw your money into this absolute waste of a product

I can't write this review without saying I bought the cameras to go with the solar panel. I can't review the panel on its own merits. The solar panels was easy to install and look really nice they were faced in the direction of the sun and connected to the cameras. I bought three panels and cameras.I was experiencing battery issues and I could not figure for the life of me why the panels were not working. So I climbed up there and replaced the battery, about a week later I had the same problem so I did the same thing. I took the battery out and charged it and replaced it after the third week. I got a little tired of doing that so I said I'm not going to worry about it. I'll take it down and return it. So I turned the camera off that had the battery issue. 2 days later I returned to that camera and it was fully charged and then I was having problems with the other two cameras. Same problem. So I devised the same solution. I turn the cameras off and I let the sun charge the batteries itself and I've never had a problem since the sun charges the batteries without any problem. It appears that the sun needs to cycle these batteries. So give your battery and solar panel a chance to work before you send it back.I would buy this product again

This installation of this solar panel is very straight forward. Does its job to keep my camera charged.

Keeping my fingers crossed and hope this solar panel turned out to be 3rd great wyze productWyze has line of products , app, monitoringI am in particular fan of Doorbell, Vacuum and now solar panelRest products are good like cam, outdoor cam, sensors but they need troubleshooting of some kind, firmware , battery resinstall nightmares; except 3 of the above those I mentionedWhat I like about solar panel is it is charging outdoor cam even whenever there is very little sunlightHope it stays this way, either way I will update this thread if anything changes

I got tired of climbing up and down the ladder every couple months to remove the cameras and recharge the batteries. Also, one time I went on a trip and one of the cameras went down due to a dead battery, so I was blind in one area. Enter these solar panels, now they keep the cameras charged. No more climbing up and down ladders, or making sure the cameras are fully charged before going away. They are well worth the investment.
