I've read hundreds of health books over the years because I have PCOS. As a result, I've always had to work a little harder to maintain my health and wellness. At times, this has been a very lonely and painful journey. Anyone with PCOS knows how isolating it can be, and how hard it is to get REAL answers from doctors.It's really important to take matters into your own hands and not wait around for some magic solution. This is what I love about Natural Beauty Reset. It provides a realistic plan that provides simple changes anyone can incorporate. YOU bring the magic by taking action.I also want to point out that Dr. Cates is not shaming anyone, which is SO refreshing. She truly wants to help you – and she reminds women that we are beautiful RIGHT NOW – that beauty isn't a destination but a natural state. of being. Dr. Cates also gets vulnerable and shares some of her personal stories and struggles.I like that the book is broken down into four seasons and contains a plan for each one. Before reading this, I never would have known my hormones fluctuated so much based on the time of year. I knew hormones were important, but I didn't understand the key players and what they were doing. And the recipes are easy to make, flavorful, and delicious. I HATE cooking and was able to make these recipes. I love the roasted Brussels sprouts & apple salad on page 164.With my new knowledge, I have started making changes in my daily life to help with balance – including making sleep a priority instead of a full night being a luxury. I have made swaps to my makeup and skin care to avoid toxins. I even gave up my conventional deodorant once and for all and forced myself to adjust to a natural brand (this was the hardest part). I feel good knowing that I'm not working on a quick fix but instead on long-term health. I'm 41 at the time of writing this. The actions I take now are determining my health for the next 20 years and beyond.Dr. Cates takes a thoughtful and sustainable approach to health and well-being not by empowering women with actual steps they can take. The book will simply help you get healthier, improve your confidence, and look at attaining health as a lifelong activity, not a quick fix. So if you've ever felt overwhelmed by what steps to take for a whole-body approach to health, get this book!

You're a woman or know a woman? You need this book!
This book is for every woman, despite her place in life. Whether you are a teenager in high school struggling with acne, married and trying to have a baby, or in your late 50's trying to balance your hormones.I have always had some sort of hormone problem. I didn't get my period until I was 17 almost 18. My doctor recommended going on hormonal birth control, but my mom and I didn't love that idea.My mom and I did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that food was my form of medicine. Just like that - my period became regular!Fast forward to being in my early twenties and now excited that Dr. Trevor Cates released a book based on harmonizing hormones with the seasons and eating seasonally is our main form of medicine.She created delicious recipes that center around the seasons and I have tried The Fall Harvest Salad (pg166) and the Chocolate Truffles (pg169) and they are AMAZING! Can't wait to make the rest.Again, if you are a woman or have a woman in your life. You/they need it!

Dr Cates offers much needed information and resources to revitalize your health and hormones at any age. She provides the tools to make changes and stay on course in every season. I added three of her supplements to my daily routine with noticeable results in my energy level and emotional well being. I also started using the skin care products, which is the FIRST product line that hasn't caused my skin to breakout! This book is a staple in my wellness journey. When I finishedthe book, I ordered three more for friends!

Seasonal hormonal changes
This book was so clearly written and accentuates everyone’s ability to get control of your skin and health. I have had challenges and I never realized that my body and skin goes through so many changes every season. I am definitely going to follow the seasonal changes and look forward to trying out the many recipes. They all sound really great and easy to make. Looking forward to fewer skin challenges
