Just the tool I needed to help drive t posts through some tough sod. I would definitely recommend putting some sort of a thick microfiber cloth or something inside the tool as the metal hitting metal makes the paint chip off the tool. It weighs heavier than a regular hammer and is easy to maneuver with the handles. 👍🏻

I bought this specifically because it was the lowest priced option I could find. I had a previous one that was a different brand and slightly larger/heavier, but have misplaced it, so I couldn't justify spending too much. I used this to pound in U-posts and garden stakes in compacted soil. It definitely did the job, but as a person who is of slighter build and not extra strong, it took a lot of energy for me to get the U-posts down far enough. I just spaced it out over a few days and it all worked out. It appears to be well built and I'm sure this is likely a great choice for someone with average strength, but if you don't have a ton of arm of core strength and have many posts to pound, a heavier one might work better (my previous one was heavier and it was in fact easier for me to use ). On the upside, the fact that it's lighter meant while it didn't pound in the posts as quickly, I was able to lift it repetitively better than I was a heavier one.Tip: I used a small piece from a microfiber towel and stuck it toward the top, to dampen the sound a little as I worked. I was in a communal area and didn't want to drive everyone nuts. It didn't seem to hamper the way it functioned, so if sound is a potential issue in your location, consider inserting a piece of cloth or something soft but not terribly bulky.

This was a very heavy duty post driver for the price. It works well for t posts, however, it states it can drive wooden posts and I have not found posts small enough that this can accommodate.

I was impressed at how easy this was to use. I didn’t get the lightest weight one, but I got the middle Weight hammer. It works perfectly for the metal tea posts into my garden area. It also works great for a one by one wooden post, I was gentle when I used it for the wood so it wouldn’t break it, but it went in very smoothly. The cost was perfect.

A must have for driving fence posts or anything else you want to drive into the ground. The device can also be used upside down for items with larger circumference than the receiving end.

Makes life sooooo much easier. You won’t regret it.
