I should have looked at the publishers date - a lot of the information is out of date (i.e. - you never, ever put a chinchilla in an exercise ball - they will overheat!)

If you want to know about chinchillas before or after you get one this is a great read. I had already got my chinchilla but it helped me understand her better.

I got this book because I wanted to buy a chinchilla.. However after seeing how hard it can be I decided to buy a rabbit instead.

This book is recommended for the new chinchilla owner. I am a newbie chinchilla breeder and it doesn't cover all that I need to know but I find the information provided perfect for the new pet owner.
