Perfect
Good balance. Handle feels nice. After a few swipes on the stone, it was shaving hair.

Unique knife
I like the design of this knife a lot. The knife is very sturdy. Full tang with a finger well. The handle is a bit small but feels good in the hand. The texturing on the handle makes it easy to hold on to. The mosaic pin is a nice touch as well. For the most part the knife looks good. The grind line on the one I got is a little crooked and the finger well is a little rough in spots but all in all it’s a good piece of work. Out of the box it is very sharp and seems to hold an edge well. I haven’t pushed it very hard yet but so far so good. The sheath is a little odd. It does seem to work better for left hand draw. When used on the right side the handle sets at an odd angle for a smooth draw. The sheath is made pretty well and the basket weave looks nice. I may make a straight sheath for it if I decide to use it much. As is it is a good looking unique knife that works very well. I deducted a star for the crooked grind line and angle of the knife when in the sheath but it is a really cool blade.

Solid, well-made knife
In full disclosure, I'm a bit of a knife snob. I have bought (or been gifted) plenty of cheap knives over the years and have been disappointed with their poor materials, flimsiness, inability to hold an edge, and general lack of quality. Based on the good reviews of this one, though, I decided to give it a try; and I'm glad I did.It comes well-wrapped and thoroughly oiled. The fit of the wood handle to the blade is exceptional. The blade itself is made of extremely thick steel. You're doing something very wrong if you bend it. I have large hands, but can get a five-finger grip on this handle. The swell at the back fills my palm and contributes to a solid grip. The hook at the back of the blade will keep your fingers away from the blade. The edges of that hook have been slightly rounded to keep it from digging into your finger while using it. That's a really nice touch on a knife at this price point.Right out of the package, this knife is SHARP. I whittled on a few things with it and couldn't dull it. Quality steel, no doubt. If anything, I worry that the hard blade will be difficult to sharpen if/when I ever need to do so.The sheath is well-made and sturdy. It does allow a little wiggle of the knife, so be aware of that when you're carrying it. I'm sure that the old leather trick of steaming it will help tighten it up, but it's not so loose that I've resorted to trying that.I don't plan to cut bulls with this knife, so please look up reviews from those who do to see how it will perform in that task. But I have no doubt that it will make me a dependable utility knife. I'm impressed enough with it and how well it's made that I've already been looking into Susa's other products. Those Damascus blades are beautiful and look to be constructed as well as this one.

Solid knife, not very sharp, weird sheath
Pros: Solid knife, good weight of what feels like decent steel. I suspect it'll need to be kept oiled. I like its heft and balance, it feels good in my hand. Full tang, nice textured wood scales. I like the good-sized quillion (guard) that protects your hand from slipping onto the blade.Cons: Unlike some other reviews report, mine didn't come very sharp at all. I was able to sharpen it, though it took some work (possibly a good thing, speaks to the hardness of the steel). The sheath is weird. I saw in the answered questions that it said it was a right-handed draw, and I tried putting it on my belt every which way and could not get it to fit a right-handed draw without putting the tooled side of the sheath on the inside, which seems clearly wrong. I conclude that this sheath is actually left-handed. Even if it was right-handed it's really bulky, I don't see myself using it. If I put this into regular use I'll make a smaller kydex sheath for it.All in all it's an okay knife for what it costs. You get just about exactly what you pay for.

Unique little knife
I saw this knife and thought, thats a cool looking knife. I like knives and have been building my collection back up after many years. I appreciate hand crafted items, each one is different and has its own character. 1095 steel is common and popular for hard use such as bushcraft. It’s more prone to corrosion but if taken care of it’s no problem and it’s easy to re sharpen. The edge is not too bad and cuts paper but could use some refining, which I will enjoy! The knife is on the smaller side but the handle feels nice, I’ll do some edge work on the bolster as its a little sharp. It has a nice robust spine and I like the handle rivet used, It also comes with a nice hand made leather sheath. Overall I like it and would recommend adding to a collection.
