I gave my grandson a set of pipes and the Sandy Jones starter kit. He says it is easy to follow and the steps in learning are clear and presented in a simple enough format that helps make one want to learn. You do have to know how to read music and must play the chanter until well mastered before switching to pipes.

I have owned this book and CD since its inception, This is the book and method used to teach bagpipes at the Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina to the Pipe Band. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn how to play the Bagpipes.
