I got this for a friend of mine who is from New Orleans and into cocktails. It helps to have a home bar already in the works or established. Great recipes and info on the mixologists behind the recipes. I also got the Atlanta one for myself. You can tell each author put the research in to find some of each cities' best bars.

My hubby & I loved the drinks so much while visiting NOLA that I couldn't help buying this recipe book to create all the drinks to enjoy in our very own home.

Saw in a store in New Orleans and found for cheaper on Amazon. Gave as a gift after a trip to New Orleans, and it was perfect.

As the book cover tells us, we are going to be treated to “an elegant collection” of drink recipes inspired by the Big Easy. Beginning with a brief history of New Orleans cocktails, we are treated to first time tips for drinking in New Orleans, helpful cocktail nomenclature and techniques and preparations for whipping up your favorite recipe. Particularly fun sections of the book include bar spotlights and “Having a Drink With….” interviews showcasing beloved bartenders. Accompanied by beautiful photography and rollicking playlists, this jewel of a book reminds us that “life is to be lived in the now”!

This was an amazing read. It not only has great recipes but has stories and background for the people and places that make drinks in New Orleans unique. There is a rich history of food & drink to be found here and this book covers a great deal of itMakes a fun gift for anyone that dabbles in cocktails!

New Orleans is one of my favorite places to visit. I got this just for fun, but it does have all the good spots and signature drink recipes. Every bar that I recommend to friends who travel there are noted in this book. Has been great for recipes when I’m feeling like a NOLA cocktail
