Sheep on a Ship board book (Sheep in a Jeep)

My favorite is Sheep in a Jeep and second favorite Sheep Go To Sleep. This was sleeping through disappointing.

We bought one of Nancy Shaw's sheep books at a local shop and I immediately came home and bought the rest of them. They're hilarious.This book is just so cute. The sheep are, as usual, terrible at everything they do, and make a total mess of their sailing adventure. It's a well constructed board book with adorable illustrations that do a great job adding to the story. The phrases are short and play with word sounds, either rhyming, alliterating, or using slant rhymes in a way that's really appealing to read and to listen to.Not only will our child continue to read these, but they'll be gifts for every kiddo we buy for.

The children I work with seemed to enjoy the pictures. Some seemed to understand the words better than others. Sheep and the Jeep had the most universally understood vocabulary requiring the least amount of explanation which made it easily understood. Some of the other books in the series required pre-teaching the vocabulary, with Sheep on a Ship needing the most pre-teaching. However, the entire series was terrific.

Fun and playful. My only complaint is that the book itself is on the smaller side. Love the rhymes! A great companion to Sheep in a Jeep (one of my daughter's favorites).

Cute book overall. The storyline is easy to follow for any kiddo and it’s entertaining to see the connection between all of the “sheep” books.

I got this book after enjoying "Sheep Go to Sleep"...and after hunting for something different to read to my 1 yr. old. This book was smaller in size than "Sheep Go to Sleep", and I didn't like the story or the flow of the book as much. SGTS is perfectly suited for bedtime, but aside from that, it's just a better written book. I wouldn't get this one again, and wouldn't really recommend it unless your child just happens to be obsessed with sheep or something. ;) Sheep in a Jeep was better than this one, but SGTS is still the best of the three to me.

The Sheep series of books are so cute. Cute illustrations and cute rhymes... It is hard for me to read aloud children's books not in rhyme form, so these are fun for the grandchildren AND for me!

Fun stories that rhyme

I purchased this because my kids loved "Sheep in a Jeep". They are okay with this book but they much prefer "Sheep in a Jeep". The rhymes in "Sheep in a Jeep" just flow so naturally.

Good read for a bed time story for my boys when they where ages 1-3 . Has colorful pictures in it like the cover and simple.

Another cute sheep book. We love the rhyming and the illustrations, Shaw and Apple make a good team.

Nothing like the Sheep go to Sleep book. Rhymes are really infantile and lack flow. Was disappointed with the quality of the story.
