MS furniture Transitional 5 Piece Dining Set

This is an amazing dining set. It looks wonderful, fits our space perfectly, and is incredibly solid and stable. If needed, I'd buy more because the price is fantastic for what you get.Only real negative is the ridiculously difficult assembly process. The table top is not pre-drilled and the marks they give you to line it up...well, simply put, they don't. The cross-braces on the chair legs also aren't marked for front or back and the legs themselves aren't marked right or left, so be careful putting the chair frames together or you'll have mysterious "missing" holes. As a hint, make sure the holes on the legs near the chair feet are facing inward, not outward so your cross-braces will bolt on.Besides assembly, everything else is perfect and we love the set!

Once you have everything put together it is a good table. It feels sturdy without being too large for a small kitchen area, and the price is good for a simple dining set. However, there are a few key issues with this listing.First off - the current image shown depicts a tabletop that is much darker in color that what is actually received. I was disappointed to discover this when unboxing everything, and the actual color seems uneven - almost patchy? There are parts that seem overly dull or shiny, depending on the angle you look at it. There was also a strange red stain on one of the edges of the tabletop. I will likely try to stain it darker myself, as it seems a much larger hassle to return a 75lb dining set at this point.As was mentioned in another review, there are no pre-drilled holes in the tabletop, meaning that it takes a great deal of force to start the screws holding the legs. The markings for where to place each piece where inaccurate, and it took me carefully lining everything up on my own to ensure that I did not have a strangely crooked table.Finally, the design of the chair legs makes it incredibly easy, and almost inevitable, to mix up what should be a 'left' or 'right' leg. They're incredibly similar, to the point that I wonder why they were simply not designed to be completely interchangeable. I ended up having to take apart the first chair I put together several times, first because I put two of the 'same' leg on the chair, and then to swap the 'left' and 'right' legs.

It’s definitly doing the job but I would go with a better design... good for someone starting new.

Just the right size for my space, easy assembly!

I like this dining set. I was skeptical at first. The order kept being set back and I got upset but after I received it, I was satisfied. My children are also happy. I finally have a complete kitchen and living room.
