I did a lot of research before choosing a cage. We bought one from PetSmart when we bought our chinchilla, but we wanted to find something sturdier and a bit bigger. I found this one and it was definitely the best I could find, so we went ahead and got it when tax returns came around. We love it! It's nice and big, sturdy by itself and extremely sturdy with the shelves in it, collapsible (to a degree), and escape-proof. Our chinchilla loves to climb up the sides and jump around (she thinks she can fly). The bottom tray makes it super easy to clean, especially compared to other cages, and they've made it so you can leave your chinchilla in the cage while cleaning it. We've got a hut, a dust bath, a combination feeder, water bottle, four hanging chews, and two hammocks in there with plenty of space for more add ons. We also have Quality's wheel, and it's saved us sleep already. It's really quiet, really sturdy, and more comfortable for our chinchilla Cinder to run on (which she does constantly). We love that the top can flip open and the two separate front openings. All in all it's a fantastic cage!Our chinchilla is actually a finger amputee as of last night, and I'm very glad we have this cage to keep her in compared to our other. It's a lot safer and I'm much more comfortable with it.

We bought this cage for our new chinchilla, and she absolutely loves it, and I love how big it is--with lots of levels for her to jump to. It's also very helpful to have the multiple level doors so that we can easily get her out and clean the shelves, and I also loved that it was specifically made for chinchillas (no plastic, correct wire/mesh even for baby chinchillas, wooden shelves for jumping/perching). I felt the instructions for setting it up could have been clearer (I accidentally zip-tied the top rather than the bottom which was annoying to fix) and it does seem a little pricey (my only two reason for the 4 and not 5 stars) but we felt it was worth it to have a good home for our little fluffy girl.

The quality of this cage is not even close to what it should be for the price. They deceptively show pictures of the cage with a wheel and on a black stand, neither of which come with cage. They do state this if you really take the time to search for it at the very end of the cage description.

My baby girl LOVES her mansion. It arrived earlier than stated per Amazon (thanks Amazon). I would highly recommend this "home" for any Chin parents. The cage is not as solid as I expected for the price of the cage, but it is very large and perfect for Chins as it's not like they're strong, and they can't chew through it since it is metal. I would strongly recommend purchasing the stand $69 and wheel $119, which is pictured but SOLD SEPARATELY. If you read other reviews, you'll see other customers complaining of such. These are sold on Quality Cage Crafters website, not Amazon. I hope Amazon reads this review and considers carrying those essential cage requirements as well, Chins need the wheel especially for happy living and exercise. Also, Amazon's shipping is MUCH FASTER. I ordered the wheel, stand, nesting box and a few other items that Quality Cage carries directly from them, and it took almost 2 weeks to receive the items! Anyway and again, I highly recommend this home/cage to any Chin, Ferret, or Sugar-Glider parent.

Great cage and great size for 2 or more chinchillas. Took a few days for our chinchillas to get used to the extra room but they love it. Highly recommend the extra guards from this company that go around the bottom of the cage to prevent bedding from flying out of the cage. These are available on the companies website.

My chin loves her new space--it should last her decades. The cage doesn't move when she jumps around or runs on her wheel. She's so happy with all that room! The tray at the bottom is not very high, so litter gets out onto the floor, but other than that, no complaints!

I absolutely love this cage! Before, I had a rickety metal cage that I bought from petsmart that was way over priced. I have two chinchillas and I knew I had to up grade my cage, but I couldn't find one that I liked enough for the hefty prices. Then I came across this one! I love it and my chinchillas love it as well. I am so glad I bought this cage and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is easy to keep clean (which I was worried about) and it gives my chinchillas plenty of room to run around and kick off the walls.Awesome cage.

This is absolutely the best cage I have ever purchased for my chinchilla. She LOVES to chew and has destroyed and/or chewed through other cages, but there is no plastic here! It's all metal, and the shelves are wood, so perfectly safe. She loves jumping from shelf to shelf and climbing the sides of the cage. It's the perfect size to keep her happy, and honestly the last cage I ever see owning since the only thing she can destroy that I have to replace are the shelves.
