Q: How do you get the popcorn to come out hot? Ours came out basically cold and stale.

Make sure you let your oil get hot before you put corn in, keep light turned on after done popping.

Q: Does the box arrive at the door showing what is inside? I want this as a surprise.

Yes it shows a picture of popper ask the shipper to place in another box or giftwrap.

Q: The door cracked around the handle after 5 months (4 oz. popper). Where can I order a new door?

If you look in the book that came with the popper, there should be a customer service email address. Send an email to them.

Q: Can I use a extension cord for it?

Yes you can use an extension cord. I gave this to my son’s family a year ago and they have had it hooked up with an extension cord every sense. They absolutely love this product.

Really great entry-level theater popcorn maker

I watched way more hours of YouTube videos then I want to admit before purchasing this popcorn maker. It is smaller than expected and we have to make two batches in order for it to be enough for us (2 adults and 2 kids). It pops super fast (especially once warmed up) and the popcorn is absolutely perfect. We found the key was to use a very small amount of the oil for popping. Its easy to use and fairly easy to clean. Set up was a breeze. My goal was to recreate movie theater popcorn for at home movie nights and this has exceeded my expectations.

Door magnet isn’t strong

We have not tried it, but it is mostly all plastic, tiny, and the magnet for the door kind of sucks, which makes me think with enough popcorn it’s not gonna close right?

You have to keep making more popcorn can’t put but so much kernels in the pot.

This is great for having a movie night at home. However I thought it would make more popcorn in each setting. If you have children or anyone in the family who loves popcorn… this is the way to go! Fresher, season to your taste, and costs much less than popcorn at the movies.
