This has turned out to be a fantastic product and definitely worth every penny. The good: Excellent design, Sturdy, durable and minimizes damage to support beams or whatever else you attach it too. The bad: When it first arrived, the grease had leaked from the bearing on tho the wood, staining the wood. It was possible to remove it though with an eraser. The hook bearing has never moved as smoothly as one would expect but it still does the job very well. If I ever need one again, (though with the quality of this, probably not for a while), I would definitely buy again.

I have a 130lbs Outslayer Muaythai bag, this mount does the job for sure. The bag is 6.5ft tall, ceiling is 10.5ft high, I put a 4inch spring that could hold 300lbs in order for the bag to hang lower, check the photos. The mount was easy to install and makes absolutely no sound when the bag moves. I see that other customers are complaining that bolts and screws of the mount are loose..to fix that problem, I used a wrench to tighten it before putting the bag on. TOO EASY! Overall, amazing product, 5 stars!

Keeps the noise down and sturdy but as others have mentioned there seems to be one bad bolt. One of the bolts although the head did not snap it did twist. That would be my only suggestion to improve it would be to upgrade the hardware.

When I purchased our punching bag from Sports Authority, it did not come with any kind of mounting bracket. All of the options I researched left me very uncomfortable, except for the Silencer. I am not a very handy guy, but the description of the design made a lot of sense and was exactly what I had in mind. I was able to install the mounting bracket with absolutely no problems. We have a below grade garage with a bedroom right above and cannot hear any noise when my son is using the punching bag. It is very quiet as the other reviewer observed. This product did not disappoint me, and the company responded quickly to the couple of questions I had. I'd like to see stores like Sports Authority offer this product because the mounting brackets they sell do not even come close in quality.

The product definitely reduces noise. However my heavy bag keeps rotating around and falling off the mount. This is dangerous. Also have your own bolts to secure into the joists. the bolts provided snap off with very little force.

Purchased this a while ago, and finally got around to is installing it. I installed this in conjunction with an aqua bag and strap in my garage. I have a tenant above my detached garage and wanted to minimize noise and vibrations as much as possible. The Silencer has done exactly what it's meant to. My tenant is not disturbed by a noisy bag and I'm able to work out. The aqua bag I have is a 21inch diameter that weighs around 190lbs. I have had absolutely no problems with he Silencer holding this weight.

Faulty engineering. The hook should be one solid piece to the ball joint.. because its not, you will literally unscrew your entire bag as you work out and the momentum causes tour bag to unscrew entirety and detach. Avoid this product.

After looking and researching online for a heavy bag mounting unit, we came across The Silencer. We watched the YouTube video of it in action and decided it would be the perfect fit for our garage gym. The product came 2 days earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. Love this! Totally lived up to our expectations. Only hiccup was I had to reassemble the swivel joint when I opened the box, but I suspect it got moved around during shipment. That said, it was easy enough to figure out. Once installed, we’ve been very happy with it ever since. and yes, it’s definitely quiet as advertised on their video. I added a spring and it still remains quiet to the room above. Very secure as long as you follow the instructions. I totally recommend this product!

Machined billet, high quality construction and so far able to take the loads from our heavy bag without issue. There is still transfer of noise and vibration from the mounting to the floor joists of our home but it does dampen quite a bit of the noise unless our son gets very aggressive.

Used it to hang a 100 lb. Heavy bag to the ceiling in my finished basement. Very sturdy and quiet.

The product does what it says it will, reduces noise and vibration. The reason why I rated it less than 5 stars is because of the cheap bolts they provided with the mount. One of them snapped without barely any pressure on it. You'd think that a 100$ bag mount would come with the best bolts out there, but no.

This was easy to install. Fit perfectly on two joists. A little pricey is all I would say.
