I am giving this review after the intended purchase, which was to be my assistant while on kitchen duty for Thanksgiving.I'm calling this garbage can perfect for the kitchen. I mean perfect. Wipes up with no smears, and the hold open feature is a dream. When someone comes along not remembering about the hold open feature and pushes the lid down, the switch releases so it doesn't break.The size of the can was perfect for preparing a massive meal to feed 10, even though I made enough food to feed 20!I live in an apartment building and the bag fits in the garbage chute no problem. The size is perfect.We went from a small under the kitchen sink hanging on the cupboard door garbage can, to this magnificent beast. I was shopping for a new, bigger trash bin for months and decided on this. I have zero regrets.

We had been looking for a good can for the area at the end of our counter (really the only place for a can in the kitchen) and this one is perfect. The build quality is great and it's very easy to keep clean.
