Southland Organics Big Ole Bird Poultry Probiotic, Gallon

I dilute as recommended. I do not put it in the water - as I feed a non-gmo organic soy and corn free spouted - fermented mash - I put about a half ounce in the mash twice per day. I have been doing this for years and the birds love it. I do not provide additional lighting for the girls over winter and we get 5 to 6 eggs per day from the 6 hens - even on the coldest darkest days. In a previous flock of 14 birds we received eggs 142 days in a row from all 14 birds. Of the hundred or so birds which we keep for two years or so we have only had two that showed evidence of a molt which lasted about a week or so. The others may lose a feather here and a feather there and keep on laying. So for what its worth - the combo of BOB and the mash must be doing something -- by the way they do get frequent back rubs.

I just recieved my gallon of Big Ole Bird. I breed chickens and have about 130. We just started everyone on it and i’ll update on the product in about a month giving it enough time to show the benefits.The Rating is on their customer service. After recieving it i was a little confused on the instructions so i called Southland Organics. They instructed for my flocks which are given individual gallon drinkers to add 1tsp or about 5 Ml per gallon. Give it or leave it for 48-72 hours and then repeat weekly.They answered my other questions about the smell as its pretty pungent and explained some of the ingredients and the benefits. If their product matches their customer service i will be extremely happy.

I decided to bite the bullet and get this big size of this supplement to be more econmical ... It seems expensive BUT if you look at nutridrench which I used to give my hens ... Nutridrench is non organic for and a little bottle its 1/4th the price of this gallon!!! So this seemed like a bargain!I was a little worried as other reviewers say their chickens won't drink the dark water .... My hens did not bat an eye at the water color and drink this right down. I love that it is organic and its a great value!!!

Great for chickens! Keeps any illness or imbalances in their system at bay. Notice runny poops just add this to their water and clears it up right away.

Love this stuff and have been ordering it since I first learned about it.You only need a cap full for a gallon and it last a really long time. Great probiotics for chickens.

I have used this in the past and have been happy with it, this time I did not have as good of a success rate. Maybe it was the weather maybe it was the product maybe it was just a bad year

My hens love it and with it the scratch doesn't give them as much diarrhea in the winter.

Love this stuff. great for vitamins and keeping cocci at bay in between treatments or during lots of rain.
