We enjoy going to the mountains and looking for gold and often need to hike up creek beds or through the woods to get to the location of a claim open to us. Carrying equipment is a consideration and this small shovel set comes with a heavy canvas carry case with a belt loop strap to attach it to a belt and give us one less piece of equipment to carry in our hands, which makes hiking and getting what we need to the site easier. The shovel has a nice sharp point and edge for digging in rock and packed earth. The side of the shovel has a serrated edge to cut through roots in our digging path easily. The shovel is easy to assemble with three parts to the handle that screw together to make a sturdy shovel. It comes with a whistle and a saw attachment to cut small trees or limbs for camping too. The OYISIYI Portable Folding Shovel Pick with Carrying Pouch is replacing an old shovel that my husband inherited from his grandfather that had to be carried by hand and was not nearly as sharp on the edge and finally broke after years of digging for gold and crystals.

Sharp. Clean, Sturdy and well made. I have it in my trucks toolbox and have yet to use it but I know that when I do it will work just fine.

This thing is SOLID. Perfectly small, but comes out to a decent size with some very good weight to it. Both sides of the shovel are sharpened very finely. Also it's a nice container. Weird that it's camo, but it's compartmentalized perfectly.

The quality of this shovel is amazing. Very well made, just what I was looking for: thick stainless blade and sturdy handle. Highly recommend.

Yes, this works for me! It chops, cuts, scrapes, breaks glass, create awareness with its whistle, and can even start a fire! The army design for the storage pouch is very appropriate. It looks like much like a bag for survival mode. I would, however, like to point out that the shovel has uneven sharpness on the Sharp Blade; a sign that it may have been rushed in production or bypassed quality control. There is no warning labels anywhere. Read carefully before using it so to avoid any personal injuries when assembling or disassembling the product. The storage case has no special pouch for the knife. Do not try to reach into the bag without appropriate lighting to see inside. Perhaps a safety glove with grip alongside this survival kit would have come in very handy. I give this 4 stars for its amazing effectiveness and versatility in its use, but a significant oversight on safety precautions and quality control.

For the most part, this is a sturdy compact item. I am skeptical of the knife which has a plastic threaded plug to hold it into the handle. I can't see how the knife blade would stand up to any kind of serious use before snapping off. If the knife had been embedded in a metal threaded insert I'd have given this a higher rating.

Very good quality design. Robust it feels like a solid tool. The blade locks firmly in place when whacking. Great to have on hand when you are stuck in a remote area. Have not yet tried using the handle as a crow bar. I will keep looking for a solid pole in the field for that application until necessity demands that you use what you have on hand.Overall I like it. I was impressed by the quality.

It will work but the blade side of the shovel has a warp to it that makes me wonder how durable it will be when put to the test and the knife blade was damaged when I put it together by the threads of the handle and some of the threading in the handle looks scratched enough to make it tough to assemble

Product looks and feels good.Product NOT what is pictured. I paid more to get what is pictured and instead I received something else that I could have bought for $8.00 less.I expect to get what I paid for nothing more and nothing less.
