Mignova Heavy Duty Hybrid Protective Case with Build in Kickstand for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 with S Pen SM-P580 SM-P585 + Screen Protector Film and Stylus Pen (Black/Indigo Blue)

Pros:1. It feels pretty solid. I haven't dropped the tablet yet, so I don't know how much protection it offers. After using it for a few months I'll probably have dropped it and then I'll know.2. With a little patience, it is easy enough to put together. It is not complicated.3. It provides easy access to the tablet's S-Pen, power button and volume button.4. It offers enough of an edge to hold it with 1 hand (but see 'weight' below)5. The outermost black layer has a protective flap over the mini-USB and audio jack6. It has a kickstand7. It has a film screen protector you apply to the front of the tabletCons:1. Argh! I can't figure out how to get the hard plastic top & bottom layers apart, so I can't get my tablet out of the case! I forgot to put the thin film on first, so now my screen doesn't have protection.2. The case does NOT provide access to the micro-SD card. This is a big problem for me, since I can't figure out how to get my tablet out of the case. Basically, this means I can't switch to a different micro-SD card. If I figure how to do it and it's easy enough to do so, then I will increase my rating for this product.3. Weight - the case has added weight, such that if I hold it one-handed, my hand gets fatigued fairly quickly.4. The hardcase is too close to the audio jack. Some of my headphones no longer work with the tablet because I can't push the connector in far enough.5. The hardcase is too close to the mini-USB port on the tablet. Not all USB cables I have are able to fit far enough into the USB port now that the tablet is in this case. If you have a USB cable with a bit wider neck, it won't go all the way in because the hardcase blocks it. The "rubber" feels kind of icky. I am concerned about health side effects of handling it.7. The stylus which came with it is nothing special. It doesn't have some of the cool behaviors that the Samsung S-Pen has. For example, it doesn't seem to do the same "hover" behaviors that the S-Pen does.8. The kickstand feels a bit fragile. Also, I am not able to use it on anything except a firm, flat surface such as a table or a tray. It won't work on my lap or on a pillow or anything like that. Also, when the kickstand is used to stand the tablet up in portrait mode, the tablet is too wobbly.

Pros:1. It has a kickstand! It can be used in either portrait or landscape mode. It snaps in and remains flushed within the case.2. It can be used flat on a table without rocking back and forth.3. Camera and flash is protected if you place it on the table or it falls flat on the ground.4. Easy access to charging port, headphone jack, and S pen.Cons:1. This case adds some noticeable weigh to it. It might not be good for one-handed use.2. Probably can't use a temper glass screen protector with this case. It looks there's no room or small gap for it.3. No easy access to your micro-SD card slot. This requires a full dissemble of the case.4. Kick stand could break if you forget to snap it back into place.5. The case is somewhat hard to put to together. There are 5 pentagon black rubber flaps with mini tabs that must be pushed into their slots. Please refer to the picture on how to get them in and make it look perfect.6. The plastic frame might block a thick headphone jack, so you would need a slim headphone jack adapter.Other thoughts:1. The included stylus pen (not S pen) is not needed and clear screen protector is garbage. These are there as a bonus, but at the same time, it could have been cheaper if these weren't included. I mean seriously why include another stylus when the S pen is way better in every way.2. Color options of this case is great. I picked Black / Indigo Blue because it reminds me of the Tron movie. It stands out. I like it. I wished the plastic could have been glow in the dark then it would have been awesome.3. I may need to use my left hand, since I'm right handed, to hold the tablet in place when I'm using it either in portrait or landscape mode with the kickstand out because on different table surfaces, the tablet might slide back.4. The plastic bezel frame on the front is not an issue when it comes to writing with the S pen or Tab S3's S pen even with the bottom of my hand resting on the screen.5. I don't plan on drop testing my tablet in this case to measure its protectiveness. You can try this on your on and let us how it went.Overall:I highly recommend this case. This seems like a lot of cons but these were things I needed to point out. My previous case was a Infiland mart PU Leather 360 Degrees Rotating Stand Case Cover, but this Mignova case is much more sturdier when using it in portrait or landscape mode with the kickstand. I can use it flat on the tablet and take pictures without the annoyance of dealing with a flip cover.

I purchased this case, hoping it would provide protection if dropped... But the case has more cons than pros... You get what you pay for. First.... The hard plastic case broke the first day. Second... The provided screen protector is junk. When I first put my tablet in the cast... The first thing I noticed was that the rubber outside protection did not fit over the hard plastic case very well... It felt loose and not smooth. So I decided to take the case apart... And that is when the hard plastic broke. Less than one day use. It just did not work for me.

I like everything about this case: it has above average protection with thick corner bumpers over a hard outer shell locked in place with a hard bezel frame that allows complete access to the screen with the s pen, as well as complete and easy access to the ports and the pen behind a thick rubber flap. (I would recommend this as the one case to buy for the 10.1 tab a with s pen. the hand and shoulder straps are nice touches too. ( it fits my smp580 perfectly so disregard the other reviews claiming it doesn't. )

Worked well for about 7 months. Then the kickstand broke off. Cant be sure if it was a durability issue or if the kiddo did something out of the norm. Worked well over all for the money.

Love this Tablet cover with built in stand. It's very sturdy and well worth the price . I would buy one again if needed and most certainly would recommend it to anyone needing an excellent case for a tablet of that size.

This is a horrible product. Its very easy to break, difficult to open and absolutely did not fit my tablet. I had no way to turn on or off the tablet without using an object to get down in the grove to turn on or off. Did not align with my camera or buttons.Do not waste your money or time purchasing it.
