Fodor's Essential Australia (Full-color Travel Guide)

Love this travel book of Australia! We will be traveling there for the first time and this book has all the information and pictures I like in a travel guide.

I have a trip to Australia coming up with my best friend. I bought this so I could bookmark a few places we’d like to go. It’s got a wealth of information from locals, which is great! I can’t wait to visit some places that we saw in the book!

Hubby and I will be traveling to Australia in February 2024. We are world travelers and this trip will cross off one more “continent” (hasn’t yet been designated as such although it’s being considered due to its size). So much to explore, see and do. This book gives us so much to learn about this country, it’s history, geologic features, it’s cities, animals, indigenous peoples and so much more. I can’t wait to get there and use it to make out trip even better.

Good guidebook for Australia, but might have too much information. I am getting to the point where these books are quite heavy to carry around on a trip. Maybe it would be best to get an e-book version if you are taking a book like this with you on a long trip.

This was great for trip planning and using it while on the trip to make sure we didn't miss anything. Very helpful.

We have been using foders books for years. Got this one to supplement our Australia trip. In the first sitting got information that would save us close to $100. This book pays for itself and is jam packed with information to make our trip even more than we could have hoped for.

This was bought as a gift for a friend traveling to Australia. They said it had some very useful information and great recommendations for places to visit and unique things to do and try!

I am planning a several week trip to Cairns Australia area. The information was very superficial and did not help me plan this vacation. There was No information on the tablelands. I did not find it helpful at all in planning the vacation and returned it. The information was too general.

Adquiri os dois exemplares eletrônicos do Guia Fodor's - que considero os melhores guias de viagem - mas tive e estou tendo muita dificuldade com seu manuseio na versão eletrônica, cuja lógica difere bastante da da versão impressa. Tanto que acabei adquirindo - e estou à espera - das versões impressas. Não gostei nem um pouco das versões eletrônicas. Elas não se ajustam à minha lógica e, por isso, estão sendo improdutivas para planejar minha próxima viagem.

Full of lots of information about Australia, even if it is from 3 years ago. Most info still right for places to see and things to do for the whole country. Helps with planning and gives ideas about what would be best for when and where.

Book seems very well laid out with lots of information.
