Purchase was just what I was looking for and arrived promptly

This is the 3rd time I have purchased these Yolev 'stainless steel' snake chains. The first time, they looked exactly as they do in the pictures (same clasps, same chain ends etc), and were indeed very strong and sturdy, were definitely steel, and looked and felt extremely good quality and well made. For the price they were a total amazing bargain, so obviously when I ran out I didn't bother looking at others, I straight away ordered more of the Yolev ones. When the second lot arrived, I was a little disappointed to notice the chain ends and clasps were different, and more flimsy/cheaper looking (like the ones in the photos by other reviewers). The chain itself was also thinner; but overall they still looked nice and decent enough for the bargain price. So, after running out of the second batch, I ordered a third. This batch, clearly stating them to be the Yolev chains, again do not look like the ones in the sales pictures (that I did indeed seem to get originally), and are like the ones from the second batch I ordered. They also turned up all loose and tangled up in a bag together, which unfortunately has caused some kinks to form in the chains. This is not good with snake chains, as they can be hard to straighten out and sometimes can't be at all. On trying to smooth the chain of one of them, it snapped, and it did it so easily given that it's meant to be steel. Sterling silver, which is softer than steel, does not even snap as readily as this did; so as it was already broken I deliberately snapped another section of the same chain, just to see how easy it was in a section that wasn't already weakened by a kink in the chain. Honestly, I barely had to apply any pressure for it to snap. My guess is these chains are actually copper, or a zinc based alloy; but one thing is for sure, they are most definitely not stainless steel because even with them being thinner chains, they should not feel so brittle or be easy to break as these are. If you're not bothered about these being stainless steel, they are still a total bargain given how many you get; but the moral is if it seems to good to be true, it usually is :-)

These are ok but very dull, more like base metal and not stainless steel.
