Not MY child-proof
The media could not be loaded. I want to like them.. but my 17mo has less trouble opening them than her grandmother.

Great alternative to the stick on kind
I bought this after having used the external 3M stick-on locks on my cabinets for my first child. While I really did find those effective, after repeated use and after the children got at them, they were pulled off the cabinet, pulling the paint off with them. These sliding cabinet locks work great on a variety of handle types, from knobs to longer handles, and are quick and easy to put on and take off. While you can remove these with one hand I would say you need two hands to put them back on. There is almost always an annoying aspect of child proofing, as the child proofing components tend to slow the adults down as well. However, I would say these can be operated fairly quickly. My one piece of advice and word of caution: don't put the clip on backwards! You'll notice that there are two parts to this: a long looped plastic part and a clip part. The clip part has a place that you pinch with your fingers to then remove it, thus unlocking it. If you put the clip on backwards, where the finger grips are facing the cabinet door, it can be quite difficult to get your fingers in and pinch the clip to remove it. Don't worry… You'll probably only do this one time before you teach yourself never to do it again. LOL

Good lock for under the kitchen sink
I got these on a flash deal on Prime Day. I knew it would work perfectly for the cabinet under the sink! We could keep our kids and (long story) our dogs out of the cleaning supplies and other gunky bottles. What I didn't think about is that I literally only had the one cabinet to put them on. So, I have 5 back-ups sitting in wait. I probably won't need them, as this one seems built to last. My cabinet handles are far apart and so the lock barely goes on but it does and it latches. It is easy to close and easy to open. If I were to list one flaw, it's that the two parts don't have a way to stay together. Therefore I unlatch it, put the top part on the counter, slide out the other part and now I have two parts to keep track of instead of just one piece. It's fine, I am a semi-grown up. I can swing it. That's just the one thing I would change in a perfect world. Oh, and I would sell just one in a pack to people like me that don't have a line of fancy cabinets.

Works Great!
These are awesome child-proof locks! They are easy to put on handle cabinets and work well to keep them shut. I've even put them on double-door knob cabinets and it works. They are definitely child-proof because even adult guests get confused by these, haha.I also love that it doesn't require screwing into your cabinets or sticky tape to install them. So no damage left after you are through the toddler phase and don't need to secure things anymore. When we leave the cabinet open at times, we just hang the lock on one of the doors so we don't lose it and it's right there when we need to lock it again.

Quick fix!
Our puggle has recently been successful in opening the cabinets under the kitchen sink, especially when we are sleeping. We searched for a simple bar lock to use on the handles of cabinets and found "Sliding Cabinet Locks for Child Safety" - they appeared to be the easiest to install and take on and off.IT's a simple slide mechanism and you can adjust for the width of the pulls on cabinets. In just a few attempts we have become expert at quickly taking the sliding lock on and off.Problem solved - thanks!

Quality Door Lock For The Price
The thing about reviews is everybody has a different experience and it's sometimes difficult to figure which is best for you to follow. I've read the ones before I purchased these locks and decided on to go with them despite the negative feed back on some of them. We have a 1 1/2 year old baby boy who is pretty strong. He's pulled on them and they did not break. In the beginning they are a little bit difficult to put on but after a bunch of times going in and out of the cabinets you become quite good at doing it in a timely fashion. Maybe over time he'll bust through them but for now they are strong enough to discourage him to reconsider pulling on them or the door handles.

Cheap quality, but do the trick
These are easy to use with no installation like other child safety locks. Unfortunately they weren't long enough to reach between some cabinets that I was hoping for. I've been using them for a few months now, and 1 of the 3 have broken so far. Not the strongest quality or material. Also, you need to keep in mind the size and shape of the cabinet handle/knob. For cabinets with a round knob, they can fall right off if not secured extra tightly. They are more ideal if you have a handle/bar for the cabinet.

Pretty flimsy plastic.
I really didn't want white locks on my wood cabinets and dark knobs, so I was glad to find these in black. They go on easy, but they seem VERY flimsy. They flex quite easily when I pull on the cabinet with minimal force. I bought some white ones of a different brand for cabinets in the bathrooms and they seem much sturdier.Time will tell if they hold up to my toddler, but I'm not very hopeful.Edit: I added a star because they are still holding strong against Hulk Baby 6 months later. I still wish they had less flex as the cabinets open just enough to potentially pinch a tiny finger, but so far they've worked well.

Cupboard lock.
Easy to use and can be removed without leaving any damage to doors. Bought for self catering apartment so that people with children had the option to use it to keep their little ones safe while not making everyone else have be bothered with it.

This item is terrible and very flimsy
I'm always very honest with my Amazon reviews because its the Amazon reviews of other buyers that guide my Amazon purchases. This item is terrible and very flimsy. My 2-year old broke it with less than a small tug. Will not be buying again.
