Absolutely spot on, we tested this last weekend in all weather, windy, pouring rain and sunny. It stood still in the wind even though we left it up all night. It’s definitely water proof, I sat under the awning whilst raining and provided us shade when Mr Sunshine visited briefly.I wish there’s an option to upgrade the pole when buying the awning instead of buying them separately.In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this product

Used this canopy for the first time last weekend on our VW. The package is really compact and lightweight, so handy to store in the van all the time. We wanted something to put up for just one or two nights away, instead of the full inflatable awning. This was easy and straightforward to put up, spot on size for a table and chairs underneath. It chucked it down overnight and the awning was absolutely fine, keeping everything under it dry and after use easy to pack away and went straight back in the bag with plenty of room. For the price (& considering anything for a VW usually has a bit extra added!) this is highly recommended.

The sun canopy is looking okay so far, easy to put up, we are currently using zip ties to our roof rack as didn't have time to fix the rail. We are right on the coast and it has survived 30+mph gust of winds last night. I don't think the poles will last over a long period of time (of use) but we will see.

Bought this for my Vito that doesn't have rails for it to attach to. I bought a pack of 3 suction cups and it sticks to the roof in between the bars - perfect. It's stood up to some serious winds too, very pleased with it !

Ideal for those hot summer days or when it's a bit wet, Easy to put up, can be used in multiple orientation by adjusting bar heights and guide ropes

If you can afford to get a proper wind out awning do it... This takes ages to put up (I'm a seasoned tent user), and is kind of small. Also the third pole along with guide lines, compared to the two poles of the traditional awning makes the space feel closed in... Also you can't open it on tarmac since you need tent pegs. Honestly such an annoying product unless you are stationary for a long time and are on a serious budget.

Used it in a heavy rain windy storm and glad to say it held up well
