Does the job.
Used this oil on my wife's garden boxes I built this year. Great value, no smell once dry. Color is great. Should keep boxes protected for years to come. Not sticky.

This is NOT Boiled - but that's OK!
I chose this because of the toxic chemicals that are added to BOILED linseed oil and wanted to avoid them. Basically they are there to make it cure faster, which may or may not be an issue for you. I have plenty of time for these projects and decided to give this a try. I have used this on several projects including tool handles and old teak on a boat. I have been very pleased with the results and have not had any problems applying it.My personal favorite treatment for weathered wood that will be outside is first clean with SOS pads and dry in the shade if possible for a day. When clean AND dry apply a couple coats the first day (morning and evening), then one coat a day until it doesn't seem to "take" any more. Then let it sit for a week, give it one more coat and when it seems like the right finish give it a top coat with pure Carnuba Wax. One wood with a rough finish, I used a tooth brush and hair dryer to melt it in and clean the excess. My wood handled tools look great and after a few wipes with a clean shop rag or paper towel feel great. If you get it on metal, a light slight rub with Dawn and steel wool (or that left over SOS pad) cleans it off and coat with Ballistol (also non toxic).Cautions:#1: Linseed oil soaked rags can spontaneously combust (ie FIRE). READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CAN! I store my rags in a sealed ziplock bag or other air-tight container, and place them in a metal coffee can and leave outside. Sealed this way, I've never had a problem. Allowed to air dry, they will get warm, if you are going to air dry them, hang them on a clothes line away from anything else. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CAN!#2: All linseed oils darken most woods. I'm new at this, but different woods responded differently. Test with scrap wood or the "hidden" side of something before you throw it on something that you have expectations for.Final thoughts: I'm happy with this brand and am a repeat customer. Linseed oil may or may not be right for your project, but if you don't mind a little longer time for a finish, and want non toxic products when possible, I can STRONGLY recommend this one.

Great Product
Two coats worked really well on my new wooden planter box. As a raw oil, it will not harm food plants, the soil around them, or my health :)

Great safe oil for cleaning wood
Great pure linseed oil for sealing wood. Dry wood absorbs this really well. It's low odor.It repels water very well. It also seems to prevent damage to the wood. This oil is safe to use in garden beds so we used it to help make the wood last longer.

Works well
The oils did darken the wood but it is still pretty. The wood repels water now. I like it so far
