The MDF toy box is reasonably sturdy and should work fine for its intended purpose. Assembly was straight forward to a point. As others have noted, the instructions were not very useful unless you have experience assembling this type of furniture. But even with experience, the hinges were a problem. The hinges for the lid did not have pre-drilled screw holes in my kit. The two holes for the hinge in the lid were easy enough if you have a woodworker's square to align the hinge with bottom edge of the lid, but the location of the hinge on the back required removing the back and supporting the lid on the back at 90 degrees while the pilot holes were drilled. The location of the bottom half of the hinge is found by marking the height of the front edge on the back. This insures the lid will lie flat when closed. The directions also failed to say you must remove the retaining clips on the back of the pneumatic closer to install on posts. It took me 3 hours to complete what should have been a 45 minute job. The absence of the hinge pilot holes could have been a defect, but I didn't have time to contact vendor.

The media could not be loaded.  I love the look of the toy box but there’s a big gap on the bottom. Alignment is off on the bottom. The hinge is broken and it does not stay open.

The box is sturdy and relatively spacious, but the instructions were very vague. There were no predrilled holes for the hinges so you must be very careful in determining where they should go. I took off the bottom panel to have access to the hinge installation. A plus.. a few extra screws were included.

Easy to assemble and absolutely perfect size for 3 boys toys not too big not too small it's just right especially for a small apartment home or a small space. And it really doesn't slam I been lifting the lid and trying to slam it shut but it's slam proof so no hurt fingers the hinges won't let it

good toy box. However, there is a MAJOR issue with Amazon furniture missing hardware/fasteners. Seriously, the last 4 pieces of Amazon furniture I have purchased have had this issue. Lucky for me I bought 2 of these and the 2nd one had extra fasteners.

Perfect toy box for my granddaughter

Got the box put together, got to the lid and it was to hard to figure out so we just have the box with no lid. Kind of defeats the purpose but does hold toys.
