Monkey Business Sports Big Daddy Ez Lasso with Bandanna, White

A community theater I was involved with bought this to be used as prop during a production. It worked well for our purposes, though I think we were surprised by how small it was (definitely intended for kids, though apparently still too large for the 4-year-old of another reviewer). It includes a DVD that was helpful in showing how to use it since I had never done so before. I was able to pick it up well enough after remembering some tips I learned. In addition to being a bit short (you won't be able to step inside the loop or lasso much with it), the rope is thin (diameter-wise) and white in color. If you want something that will be more "Western"-looking or larger and more authentic, you may want to look elsewhere; otherwise this seems like it would be good for children or beginners.

This lasso is a lot of fun and easy to use. I used it at vacation Bible school, and it was a huge hit. All the kids wanted turns with it. My daughter who had just finished kindergarten learned how to use it quite easily with a little practice. There is a break-away safety feature which keeps the noose from pulling tight so you will not have to worry when your kids think it's great fun to use each other as targets. The DVD trick video is not great. It basically shows someone switching hands while twirling the lasso or stepping in and out of it. Nothing your ten-year-old couldn't figure out by himself. Also, the lasso is not rigid enough to twirl overhead like a real lasso.

I was skeptical that my boys could make this thing do what the guy does in the video (in other words, make it spin), and my 9 year old got it right away. My 3 year old, not so much, but still makes it fun. I do wish you could make the ring a little smaller or something, but that is nitpicky. Good wholesome fun, and both boys love it. (And my 9 year old doesn't even like cowboy stuff).

i am a full time nanny and right now the kids are obsessed with the netflix show “spirit”. this was soooo fun for them to play with and has held up nice for 2 kids under 5!

Would have been nice if it were a little shorter for my 4 yr old but it's exactly the type of rope we wanted. She's a Sheriff Callie fan and wanted a lasso so bad and this did the trick. :-)

Fine enough to use as a toy, but it no longer includes a DVD, which was a disappointment.

My 5 yo daughter has been asking for a lasso. This one was perfect for her. Easy to use. Good quality. I highly recommend for kids just learning.

I was disappointed when I received this product. I was not expecting it to be so small. It was a Christmas gift for a grandson. I’m glad I went ahead and gave it to him because he absolutely loved it and the whole family enjoyed trying it out! My grandson is seven.

My 10 year old loves it. It takes lots of pratice, but DVD is easy enough to follow along.

Bought it as a gag gift and I love it. He hasn't opened it yet, so I can't say anything about the DVD. But it looks great so far!
