A work of art SECOND AMENDMENT
The Vetus blade puts me in mind of the Kaiden blade. This is a replacement as I gave my Cold Steel San Mai master tanto to my son when he went to Iraq. ( He’s back safe.) Now I wouldn’t slam this tanto through car hood sheet metal as Cold Steel does as the geometry of the tip and blade is different. It is sharper, the San Mai is more pronounced. The wood is beautiful. Overall esthetically a excellent pleasure to look at and use. Great value!. UNFORTUNATELY IFOUND TWO CRACKS (red) AND DELAMINATING (yellow) OF SAN MAII have a replacement blade. No cracks no delaminating of the San Mai.

One of the sharpest blades I own.
The media could not be loaded. I've never received a dull blade from this seller. Not once. I've purchased nearly every one of his blades and I've never been disappointed. That speaks volumes! This blade is so sharp I barely need to add pressure when cutting. It's beautiful, well oiled, well built, and perfect size. It's sleek, dark steel and probably has one of the sharpest points I've ever seen. I'll go ahead and cut to the chase. Great blade, highly recommend.

Unbalanced tip shape. Overall okay knife. Well balanced and good looking overall.
Sanmai pattern is visible. Great balance. Sheath fits perfectly. One thing I did not like was its tip. Tip was chipped off tiny bit and angles did not match the other side (as shown in this picture).

Nice little tanto
Love the irregular san mai pattern & the antique feel. Kinda expensive, but worth buying.

Beautiful
Love how beautifully made it is. Heavy mahogany. And razor sharp.

Great Tanto
My knife might not be in the master-work territory, but it’s put together well. A bit of wood conditioner goes well with the wooden parts. I haven’t been using it for any kind of heavy duty work, however, so I can’t say much about the performance. The blade has no defects and is very sharp out of the box. The scabbard is not on very tight, so it won’t make an ideal EDC, but who would walk around with a fixed-edged knife of this size around anyway?.. I think it’s a good value for sanmai. Overall, great addition to my humble collection.
