Beautifully rich and moisturising.
Kinvara Bakuchiol Precious Facial Oil: I’ve become quite a fan of the Kinvara range of skincare products and have tried several components now. Like the other products in the range, this facial oil is organic and plant based. It has a very pleasant, fruity/floral smell which lingers a little but does settle within 1/2hr or so, so it won’t clash with other scents. The directions suggest using this morning and/or evening, and over the top of usual moisturisers and serum, however this oil is quite dense and, while it does absorb over time, initially it leaves a slightly oily layer on top of the skin. Therefore I have been using at night, after cleansing and without other products apart from eye cream. I think I’d struggle to put any makeup on over this product for a while after using, so avoiding morning use. The pipette ensures ease of application, allowing you to easily manage the amount of drops you use, about 5 is good for me. The product is very moisturising and despite being oily, doesn’t cause skin to feel greasy once it has fully absorbed, but does make it feel soft and supple. I think it’s very beneficial on fine lines, I’ve been using for just over a week and while mine certainly haven’t gone, they do appear to have softened out. This is a beautifully rich and moisturising oil, it’s quite expensive (37.99 at time of review) but as with most of the Kinvara range that I’ve tried, it will last a good long time, it definitely improves skin tone and condition, I don’t have particularly dry skin, but if I did I’d definitely be reaching for this. Another to go on my fave list!

Slightly improved complexion
This oil is richly moisturising but also can irritate my skin a bit if I use it every single night, leaving me with some pinkness on my cheeks. I don't think I had appreciated that it had active ingredients, with bakuchiol being a retinol alternative. I have used retinol plenty of times in the past so assumed I'd be ok to use this every single since it seems gentler. I don't have sensitive skin, just normal / slightly oily. I stopped using it every day and gave my skin a break then restarted at every other night and it seems to be fine. My skin seems to have been helped by this, looking a tiny bit clearer. I don't have any major marks, but just an overall uneven skin tone that's developed over the winter months. The bottle comes with an integrated dropper, and works well to dispense the correct amount of oil drops. It spreads reasonably well across my face. Does take a little massaging to get it fully distributed, but that's probably a good thing as the oil isn't too greasy, and within 10-15 minutes it has absorbed enough that I can lie down to sleep without making my pillow oily. It smells of lavender. Not too strongly. I'm not a huge fan of that as a smell but equally I don't hate it and I'm only wearing it at night since it isn't a particularly good base for makeup. The bottle will last me a long time since I use 5 drops each time, and that's only a tiny amount! The bottle says it has a 6 month life once opened, but I think it'll likely last beyond that. Provided nothing has changed in its appearance or scent, I'll continue to use it.

A facial oil that feels like it's been made just for me...
I'm using this certified organic, vegan, cruelty free and PETA approved facial oil immediately prior to going to bed. I've now been using it for almost a week and I'm finding it very beneficial for boosting my skin's hydration and softness. For me this facial oil is perfect. With mature and rather dry skin, I don't use Retinol due to sun sensitivity but Kinvara's Precious Facial Oil - a 100% oil-based blend - contains Bakuchiol which is a plant-based Retinol equivalent. It also includes Vitamin E and Squalane from olives that's antioxidant rich - so no surprise I'm finding this highly moisturising. It's very easy to use - simply dispense 5 drops into your palms then massage into your cleansed face. But I started off with just 3 drops and found that bit extra was right for me. The oil feels light to apply and I found is absorbed well. It's also beautifully fragranced and is a real pleasure to use. I'm using it on its own but it can be used after a serum or moisturiser. It's also suitable for all skin types apparently. But for me it's working so well it makes me feel like it's a bespoke product that's been made just for me. I have some Irish ancestry and I must add that I love the fact that Kinvara is made in Ireland. This Precious Facial Oil is not cheap at £37.95 at time of writing - but it is luxurious and I'm finding it effective so in my view this soothing product is worth the asking price. The 30ml bottle with pipette should last me ages.

A gorgeous little face oil
I'm a big fan of facial oils as have been using them as part of my skincare routine for years. You literally only need a couple of drops, if that, and although it doesn't seem much, a little goes a long way. Some oils are completely non-greasy, but I would say this one can leave my skin a little on the oily side, especially if I use too much of it. I do only tend to use facial oils at nighttime before bed though, so this isn't too much of an issue for me. The smell of this oil is quite subtle, and it does feel quite luxurious. I've been using it for a little while now and I have to say my complexion looks great. I love the fact it is organic and only contains natural ingredients. This has always been an important factor to me. Price-wise, it is definitely on the expensive side but then a good quality oil usually is. The old adage, you get what you pay for, really is true. A lovely oil that I am confident will deliver results.
