so happy i took the time to research the shoes...
I spent a lot of time researching and trying on shoes...probably more than I needed to considering they're just shoes. Ultimately, I went to a sporting goods store and tried on the Reebok nanos and originally purchased the nano 2.0's. I liked the way the 2.0's fit versus the 3.0's.I eventually tried the Inov-8 shoes the same day I purchased the nano 2.0's and I immediately returned the Reebok's. I read many different reviews online regarding the Inov-8 240's (which are essentially a step up improvement from the 230's) and Inov-8 195's.I'm so happy I chose these shoes. I wear them for crossfit and they feel absolutely amazing! I feel the ground much more under my feet than my previous aisics running shoes I used to wear.I normally prefer to not wear a sock with my athletic shoes when I work out and these shoes felt much better a half size smaller than what I would normally wear with normal shoes. I have a normal width foot and they fit perfectly so if you have an extraordinarily wide foot, probably go with the Reebok nano's.For anyone with a normal width or narrow foot, this shoe feels incredible!

Light and Durable Cross -Trainer
This shoe are my favorite athletic shoe so far. They are lighter than any Nike I've ever worn and they have features for added longevity and durability such as molding over the toe to prevent wear that is all to common with a lot of the mainstream mesh shoes and molding in the center to prevent over-stretching of material. My last pair of mesh Nikes didn't last a year because my toe wore down the mesh from crossfit and running. The only thing that is different about the fit is that the toe box is wider than what many people are used to. It can feel a bit loose at first, but this allows for full range of toe motion and is better for stability during training. I would suggest ordering on the low window of your foot size because the mesh will stretch a little. I usually wear an 8.5-9 depending on the brand and I bought an 8.5 of this shoe and it fits perfectly.

Worth it when you can find a good deal!
sometimes running shoes have so much padding that you have to go half a size or a full size up. but all that padding makes my feet feel numb and constricted and i feel unsteady on my feet.this is my second pair of inov8's. i wear a 6.5 in flats.i bought 6.5 in these and they fit great. plenty of room for my toes to wiggle and fits well enough my heel doesn't slip out. i wear balegas and other socks of that similar thickness.i love these shoes but i'm not willing to be gouged for any reason. i only buy them if they're a good deal. these i bought maybe 4 months ago but they're an older model.

NIce Shoes but Pricey for their construction.
These are very light shoes with a little wider toe box. You can certainly feel the ground below you. It's amazing that shoes like this can cost this much. Don't get me wrong they are good shoes but seem overpriced considering the construction. I use these in the gym so I'm sure they'll last awhile. Not sure why they have to make laces so long. I ended up buying some Lock Laces for these shoes as I hate having to double tie. For the price though I probably should have found a less expensive pair similar to these.

Awesome shoe, buy a half size larger than usual
I love this shoe! It is lightweight and provides great support. I wear them for my fitness workouts and they keep my toes and heels stable. The toe stability is very important to me since my workouts require a lot of balance. They are so light it is almost like not wearing any shoes at all. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the shoes fit very snug and although I'm okay with the fit I'm still trying to figure out whether going up a half size would be beneficial or not.

Training shoe of choice
I wanted a replacement shoe for my Nike Frees and these definitely fit the bill. They run a half size small as I usually wear a 13 in most all other brands, so the 12.5s fit perfect. The toe box is comfortable, but there seems to be a spot that forms a crease up by the outer edge of the toe. Happens on both sides, and it's not really a big deal, as I assume it's because of the layout of my smaller toes. Very comfortable, very minimal, very light. I want another pair, but can't decide if I want to go lighter and say a 180 model, or go with their oly lifting shoes once my powerlift 2s get too beat up.

Ended up being a gift
These were much too large for me. I wear a 7 M US, and could have probably purchased a 6 M US in this shoe. On a good note, because i forgot to exchange them in the time limit, it ended up being an awesome gift for my friend who normally wears a size 8 M US. She loves the shoes, and I plan on purchasing a pair for myself soon.

I think I would have been better with the 6
I wear a 6, but usually buy a 6.5 in sneakers. I used the fit guide and bought a 7 in these shoes since people have said they're narrow. I think I would have been better with the 6.5, but the 7 is fine.I love the low profile (feels like 0 - 2mm). Makes it a lot easier to maintain stability when weightlifting. I wear these for Crossfit, weight lifting and strength training.

great for crossfit
Before buying these I was advised by my coach to go half a size down. I'm a UK9, so ordered the 8 1/2. They fit perfectly. great trainer.

Great shoe, just make sure you go half a size smaller!!
Wanted to get my 1st pair of shoes for CrossFit and decided to go for these after seeing a few people them. (I did some digging and found that the Inov8 shoes are the only CF shoes you could get sub £80 so they are great value as well.I would recommend getting half a size smaller than your average shoe size (Which I found when reading other reviews most people had recommended.), for example I am usually a size 10 so went 9.5 and the fit perfectly. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, give great support and are awesome for CrossFit!.....the only reason they are not a 5 for me is that the toes are wearing a little quicker than expected, though they are still in great shape so it is manly cosmetic.

Stop reading and just buy them. Amazing.
Great shoe.Have them 2 years now and they've been worn most days doing some sort of activity. From weight training, to running and climbing, even walking to the shops. These shoes are amazing. After 2 years of intense use there's no signs of them falling apart and they're still my favourite shoes to exercise in.
