Inexpensive and adjustible but not very stable
I like it that the aluminum support can be bent to fit your damaged finger, but the single half-inch wide velcro strap does not do a good job of holding it in place. And don't even think of taking a shower or washing your hands. The splint will slide off your finger as soon as you get any soap on it. I'm making do by wrapping my finger with first aid tape on top of the splint while waiting for an alternative splint to arrive. Then it goes into the trash can. Not recommended.

Solid Finger Splint for Medical Emergencies
I am putting together a new first aid kit to keep with us while we are camping in the RV. I saw this clever splint for use with fingers or toes and decided to give it a try. The splint is ideal to render first aid for a jammed knuckle or a fracture. It will quickly immobilize the affected digit and prevent further damage until medical attention can be rendered. The normal approach to immobilizing an injured digit if you donât have a splint is to tape it off to the adjacent digit. This can be awkward and painful. I think this device would be preferable. The splint attaches to the wounded digit using an integrated Velcro strap. It is made of rigid aluminum that is covered with a soft foam layer making it perfect for immobilizing a damaged digit as comfortably as possible. It folds up neatly and is easily stored with the other splints in my first aid kit. I hope I never have to use it but if I do and its performance does not meet my expectations, I will update this review.

Works very well for hammer finger but...
Keeps hammer finger in correct position, but forget about making it stay on. It just won't. You will need body tape or maybe some finger sleeves around the finger and splint to help keep it on. Also the pad is glued on with water soluble glue. If the pad gets wet it will separate. Even if the pad does comes off, it is no real big deal as the pad will stay on as long as the whole thing is secured with tape around the finger which has to happen anyway. Though not perfect, I'm generally happy with the item.
