The shipping was very quick and the Sushi Rice Mixing Tub is superior quality, extremely sturdy and exactly what I wanted and needed. I looked at less expensive sushi oke's but decided on this cypress tub, copper bands and lid and am glad I paid the extra money for the better product made from traditional materials. I love my Hangari and this has already given me better rice for my sushi and is far superior product in the long run and worth the money. I'm actually going to purchase another one just to have an extra.

Looks nice, doesn't add any wooden taste, and once cleaned in water 15 minutes before putting the rice in it, the rise doesn't stick. Easy to clean!

This cypress mixing tub is an impeccable way to season and cool rice.The lid is essential and provides a nice way to slowly dry the rice.I can leave the rice overnight and have perfectly fragrent and lovely rice for morning meal.完ぺき!

It looks nice is nice and work great

I previously had ordered another one which had a decent amount of staining on the hangiri itself and a questionable looking lid. You can see the staining in the pic. The lid looked like it was made out of pine since it didn't match the bowl in color and wood grain. On this replacement, the lid matched the wood so now I know the other one was mismatched. There was only a few minor small stains on the bowl so while not perfect, I could live with it. The lid had two small chipped areas but I was happy that it was matching the bowl so the right wood. Overall, the quality could be better but it will do the job.

A must have when mixing sushi rice since the wood will absorb the extra moistures from the steaming rice. Don't get the cheap China imitations due to the low quality wood

In less than half a year of use, with everything done according to the rules, both copper bands fell off the hangiri when one day it was turned over from its storage upside-down position to be used. It is, of course, not possible to get them back on without the tools and expertise. The seller has not found it necessary to respond. This is not a cheap thing. Beware.
